WOW, I just watched that vid twice in a row and loved every second of it.

Greg is looking like a beast on D. He is going to make the Blazers feared from here on out!

Yeah, they've got some great respect for one another being the top two picks of the 07 draft. It'd be awesome if we could have both those guys. CP3/Roy/Durant/LA/Oden. Haha.

But Greg looked great, was moving well and had a little more vertical. Good to see! Best news of the entire offseason!

though it's been expected by many here, this development would have trumped landing either Hedo or Millsap. Portland isn't going to become an elite team without him stepping up

    Casey on 95.5 right now...

said he was the 2nd best player of the first day (after Durant) but that the drills they were running favored guard play. Blocked and contested everything inside. Said his progress has been steady since the offseason started as he continues to work with Bayno and get further from MF... getting back to SF-esk mobility/bounce. Sounded very matter of fact as he slathered on the superlatives.

His next round of Tweets should start at 12:30 or so

here's an ESPN recap with a Greg mention

I watched the video, and came away feeling very happy for Greg, I think things might turn around for him this year. He's a good kid, he deserves better than what he has got so far.

Screw Rudy at PG, You see the way Greg moves down the floor! Takes him about five steps to get across the court.

    No.

Magloire never flashed to the perimeter on defense. In fact, he was never that much of a defender at all.

Also, he couldn't run up the floor very well.

Usually you say things that make some sort of sense.

This was not one of them.

Ever wonder why? He DOES pretty much always make sense. Unless he's joking.

(On a sidenote, anyone else has a couple of posters they pretty much always agree/disagree with? It's weird... saves me a lot of posting though.)

Also, Magloire had a difficult time detecting subtle humor.

his attitude looked great, but apparently i'm the only one here that wasn't otherwise overwhelmed by what he did in the video. mobility and reaction time may be slightly improved but i didn't see anything that really challenged him much in that regard, vertical look more or less the same, blocks seemed to have a lot of contact and probably would have been fouls in real games last year (hopefully he will get more ref respect this year).

Absolutely. A few folks I always agree with and a couple of folks I don't think I've ever agreed with. What I find amusing is that Maxiep and I don't see eye to eye at all in the OT forum, but I agree with darn near everything Maxiep has posted about the Blazers. It's funny.

One of the biggest differences I noticed was the fluidity and ease of his movements. He didn't look like everything took a huge effort like it did last year. I was also impressed in the amount of ground covered in little time. There was one instance where he recovered from the three point line to the basket in what seemed like one step that made me say "wow."

It's not supposed to look like one of those normal youtube highlight videos where a scrub can look like an MVP.
It's just subtle things like his ability to go out and show on the pick and roll and get back to his guy quickly, his presence in the middle didn't allow anyone to go inside. I know it's a short snippet, but you didn't see anyone taking it inside on that squad Greg was on.
It allowed the perimeter guys to be more aggressive on defense, and take more gambles.

I think his vertical looked a lot better, too. Greg's far from perfect, but it was an encouraging sign with the caliber of players he was up against.
