Not sure who "Mixum" is, but I can assure you I am not him. Being a close friend of a particular MOD here for the past 30 years, I am sure they are watching closely, although probably with not as much zeal and lust as you.....

The title is a joke - I'm pissed at KP for the negligence in his job of not treating bROY like an all-star. KP has an ego too big for Portland.

But, congrats on winning the obsessed with mixum award and being wrong time and time again...

I know they call me that mixum guy too. I have no freakin idea what thay are talking about. And you are right on about KP. Its a joke how badly he has disrespected BROY, and then he let raefs contract go to waste. But trust me man everyone in here worships the ground he walks on and it doesn't matter what he does your not aloud to criticize the man. It's a complete joke. I guess most blazer fans can't look at reality and realize KP has been a epic fail this whole year.

I respect what the guy has done to turn the Jailblazers into a team we can all be proud of. But, the honeymoon is over. Time will tell if it was just a streak of luck or he is THAT good. Other GM's are getting to the point where they don't even want to deal with the guy because of his arrogance and 'in your face' if the Blazers happen to get the upper-hand in a deal. He's screwed himself and the team - to stroke his ego. He couldn't seal the deal with two big-time FA's.... Media reports say he is "freaking out." Interesting...

I think the truest test is how he treats franchise players like bROY - so far, a major FAIL.

I guess I probably don't worship the ground KP walks on, because I was around to see my Blazer team bring on quality players (and keep them for a time) like DreXler, Porter, Duckworth, Kersey, Robinson, Williams - etc.

Thanks for the insight to the board!!

You can criticize the man all you want, but you can't expect to come to a modestly well behaved and arguably intelligent corner of the internet and post a thousand all-caps over reactions about the same topic over and over again without a few of the locals calling you an idiot, or worse, Mixum.

If you can't handle some intelligent debate then go back to counterstrike chat and/or youtube comments.

Amen to that. I think a lot of us would like to keep this forum from being an O-LIVE type atmosphere. So when 2-3 (Or one pretending to be 2-3) attempt to bring it down into the gutter, than I think it is good for other posters to call them out. AS Jim Rhome says "have a take and don't suck".

That doesn't mean one has to wear "rose colored glasses". We all enjoy different points of view. But when your sole purpose is antagonize people with stupid comments then I for one say........Go away. We all can get emotional sometimes has we love our team, but lets try to keep the conversations as intelligent as possible.

Total B.S! About 95% of you wear "rose colored glasses" and refuse to look at any other point of view besides KP is king of the world. I wouldn't have to keep being negative if KP didn't keep screwing up for the past 6 months. I wish I could say something good about the man, but he has failed miserably at the trade deadline which now caused him to fail this summer. And now to top it off he is playing games with the franchise player. Sorry but I don't think he could be doing much worse of a job. So go ahead and defend your boy, its a joke.

It is funny how someone can do so much good for you. Then one thing goes wrong and all the good the person did is thrown out the window.

Doesn't anyone else think it's comical that Mixum is using multiple, alternate accounts to discuss and compliment himself? I guess if you can't get a single soul to say anything nice about you or your whacked out opinions, the next best thing to do is make other accounts and compliment yourself???

I think it's comical that people make posts like yours when they have no idea what they're talking about.

Speaking for myself only, I have no problem with folks criticism of KP's actions as GM. Everybody's entitled to have a take around here. What I do take issue with is when the criticism is based on nothing more than a failure to complete imaginary trades. You say KP failed miserably because he didn't make a deal at the deadline. If you had information as to what players were actually being offered up that KP passed on, then your criticism might be justified. Unless the players that were on the table were good enough at a reasonable price, then KP was right to pass on them. The team won 54 games and made the playoffs, so it's hard for me to bash the guy over a failure to make a deal by the deadline. But in your mind, there were all kinds of imaginary deals out there that KP whiffed on and therefore he's a schmuck.

You say he's "playing games with the franchise player", but again you are lacking any inside information about what each side's position is. I have no doubt that the Blazers and Brandon will reach an agreement, but their interests are not the same at this exact moment. Brandon wants a max contract for a max number of years based on the current CBA. He's smart to shoot for that kind of security. The Blazers, on the other hand, want to secure his services at the best price. They know that under the new CBA, in light of declining revenues, Brandon's cost is likely to be more affordable five years out than it would be if they agree to the full five year max under the current CBA. Given the number of players on this team who will be coming up for contracts over the next several years, it makes a difference to the team's financial position and its ability to put the best team on the floor. Also, there's the impact of Brandon setting the tone for LA's contract and Oden's next year. In other words, it's nowhere near as simple as you seem to think it is.

Finally, THE FRICKIN' SUMMER ISN'T OVER YET! How about holding off some of the whining until you see what changes KP brings about before camp?

If knowing what we're talking about is the standard, this place is going to be a conversation tomb. ;)

BTW, I received a PM from MIXUM. He tells me he'll be back soon and he's plenty PO'd about KP and the Blazers' summer.

    I can hardly wait.
