This trade makes no sense to me. We lose two guys that could play in the second unit for nearly every team in telfair and smith. plus we lose a long time favorite in mad dog. All for a garbage player with a big expiring. NOt sure what the hell kahn is doing loading up on expirings. Our team is down to probably the least talented team in the league. I was really starting to like telfair too, i hope he continues to get opportunities to improve. The kid can really play when he gets his confidence up.
I can understand why they moved Telfair, but I'm surprised they gave up on Craig Smith. Johnny Flynn looks like the real deal and there's a strong possibility Rubio comes over next season. The more PT either guy can get the faster they can develop. Let's see what Kahn can do with all the expiring contracts he's collecting. TWolves look like the worst team in the league right now talent wise, but they can add more pieces in next years draft which should be pretty decent. What's the deal with Brewer? Is he healthy yet?
I agree with the telfair situation IF Rubio comes over. Otherwise we could really ruin flynn's development. I hope we can move them, i just don't see what for. We would have to take about around equal salary. So kahn is all of a sudden going for guys with larger contracts? or does he think he can land plenty of free agents next year? Brewer appears to be healthy as far as movement is concerned. All i read about the summer league is that he looks really rusty, and his ball handling still isn't great. I hope he can become the type of glue guy i think he can be with his good vision/passing and defense. I guess his shot is improving too.
