    Re: BREAKING NEWS

This is a good thing. Oden and Aldridge will see great improvements in their offensive efficiency and we'll probably see a few more oops to Roy. The backdoor cut for the alley oop was an effective play last year with Brandon being the cutter. Hopefully we'll see it more often with Miller in the fold.

Is there any way that he can pull out of this like Hedo did?

Um, thats a good thing dude. We don't want to lose Blake yet. Bayless is NOT ready. FAR FAR from ready.

I like the signing...not quite teh splash expected when we cleared this cap space....but I guess summer's not over. any moran could have signed andre miller...it'll stabilize the point a bit....kind of push Bayless back the depth charts.

    Re: BREAKING NEWS

    Miller (30) Blake (18)
    Roy (35) Rudy (28)
    Batum (23) Outlaw (25)
    LMA (35)
    GO (28) Prz (18)

Position isnt necessary cause our guys are versatile and can be mixed and matched with eachother.

In terms of a real distributing pure PG, I'd say yes. And before Rod, you'd have to go way back into the 80's or 70's probably.

I'm very excited about this. The guy has made a living despite a poor jumper, and I think we'll get to see how good this guy is.

    Re: BREAKING NEWS

Was Webster left out by accident or do you feel that he won't be a factor this year?

I'm having high hope for Martell.

    Re: BREAKING NEWS

I think you are right, but Kenny Vance just made a good point (For once) Last year Greg didn't get many Alley Oops because he didn't really have the legs. I think both Miller and Blake and Rudy and BRoy will be throwing more passes Greg's way this year. Last year he was not ready.

    Re: BREAKING NEWS

Was there any way to get Philly to sign him and then ship him to Portland in exchange for Blake? I hope Portland at least had that discussion with Philly.

Because if not, while I think the move is OK, it is an incredibly ineffective use of the cap space.

“He’s got great savvy and leadership,” Pritchard said from Team USA’s practice on Friday. “We like him as a player for sure.

    Re: BREAKING NEWS

So, his team only offered him a one-year deal at $6 million, others were kicking around the idea of the MLE, yet Portland uses all of their cap space to sign him?

Oh well, I guess he can't hurt the team, and having a respected veteran around he can still play can't hurt.

    Re: BREAKING NEWS

I can't wait to debate this move, but this Summer is a fucking success!

Yes, we missed out on Hedo, but we screwed a Divisional rival, got an elite-level point guard, kept the fire stoked by drafting Claver, got a steal in the second round with Cunningham, added more quality young men in Pendergraph and Mills, AND we still have Bayless, Blake, and Outlaw to move for another quality piece.

Pritchard is god. I bow to him. Halelujah, I'm out!
