Notice anyone missing from Vinnie's lineup discussion?

Yeah, it sounds like Jannero is starting at the 2 and Tyrus is nowhere to be found. Noah didn't get a plug, either. It sounds like Rose is the only guy guaranteed to start, which is as it should be.

I was wondering if that was part of a larger answer, and it seems to be.

Now that Ben Gordon is gone, do you guys see (if he can stay healthy) Luol Deng being the 2nd option on offense behind Rose, or maybe #1?

He never has been a #1 option, but he was for England's national team (I guess).

If he's healthy and durable, and he's really gotten himself up to 230-235lbs, I'd probably give him first crack at the PF spot.

As far as scoring, he could maybe be a #3 guy masquerading as a #2 if he returns to his 06-07 form. Big problem I see is that he's very dependent on the offensive system and his teammates to get him good looks. If he doesn't get that, he's not going to take anyone off the dribble or just shoot over people with great accuracy.

And now Luol Deng has to sit on the bench in a suit this summer, watching as Ben Gordon leads Great Britain in the 2009 European Championship. That will be worth watching just for comedic value.

I wonder if Vinnie was reading off a script or was otherwise prepped for the interview.

Did you see his interview with Doug? He didn't answer any of the questions, giving robotic responses.

I figure he's gotta be walking on egg shells for fear of instantly losing his job.

Last year's team was the most exciting to watch of any the last 6 years. VDN deserves some credit for making the game fun.

I feel a little two-faced when we do interview analysis. We (meaning I) blast Reinsdorf when he actually let's down his guard and says something of substance; but the reverse isn't any fun either.

The substance eminating from Reinsdorf was horse shit.
