Huge transfer. I'd say this is the second or third biggest transfer of the summer. Barca have said they will sign another big name this summer.
Ridiculous business. I know the market is obscene right now, but that doesn't mean you should be making illogical moves like this. Ibrahimovic is not 40 million better than Eto'o. I'm not sure anyone is 40 million better than Eto'o.
Don't be fooled people this is THE biggest transfer of the summer. The european champions just sold a former pichichi winner, the second top scorer in the league, one of the best strikers in europe a man who scored in the european cup final and for what? A largely unproven other than in a one sided inferior seria a mardy ass lazy swedish rent boy with a worse attitude than the problem child they are getting rid of. If I were a Barca fan I'd be concerned about barca's transfer policy. They don't need Mascherano and nor would he fit at the club without disrupting a better player (i.e Xavi). People seem to think Mascherano is a holding midfielder, he really isn't, he is a destroyer, a tireless yard dog who makes up for his lack of any finesse or positional sense by constantly running. There are too many people who are prepared to call him the best in the world because he can and does make numerous tackles where he is 10-12 yards behind the opponent without wondering to themselves "I wonder WHY he has to make up 10-12 yards so often!". Cambiasso allows him to be a headless chicken for Argentina, Alonso allows it for Liverpool, at Barca? Well unless they are planning to bring through busquets and drop Xavi or Iniesta then I'm sorry but, no dice. Ibrahimovic for 40m plus Eto'o. Truly Jose, you must be the special one! Pep, sorry mate but you are just coming off as "a bit special".
Ibra is not that special guys, he'll benefit from playing in the Barca system and being around Messi, but they're overpaying. Eto'o for him straight up would have been more than enough.
i'm a big fan of eto'o but ibrahimovic is definitely the better player. was he worth the price? no. but he definitely helps the team on the field.
