Miller has consistently destroyed Blake in head-to-head matchups since Blake was a Blazer the first time. It's not even close who is the better player. Blake is Steve Kerr II. That's nice and all if you need somebody to hit a fantastic percentage of three pointers and not do much else, but I'd rather start the guy who does every single thing (besides hitting three pointers) better.

    Not in Nate's PG-Limiter "system" there aren't.

Roy will not stand for someone else running the offense. He's proven that over and over.

There has never been anyone else on the team that was capable of doing it.

    Mis-speculation on your part.

It was cowardly, distrustful coaching that sealed our fate in the playoffs, and any team would have beaten us just like Houston did.

Re: Miller Best As The Backup

Outlaw and Blake should play less. Rudy and Aldridge should get those minutes.

Oden should definately get more han 24 minutes. That would be a joke if it happens again this year.

Since ass clown insists on starting Blake, and apparently Joel since he doesn't want to upset his vets

    So with that in mind....

    Blake - 15
    Miller - 32
    Roy - 36
    Rudy - 24
    Batum - 26
    Outlaw - 21
    Aldridge - 36
    Oden - 32
    Joel - 18

Webster, Bayless nada. Definately a need for a consolidation trade.

That's a totally ridiculous comparision. Kerr averaged over 3 apg ONCE in a 14 year career. Blake has never averaged less than 4.5 in a Blazer uniform. Kerr in his prime never even averaged 9 ppg in his best season. Blake averaged 11 ppg last year.

Blake can be criticized for many things, but calling him Steve Kerr II shows a lack of knowledge IMO.

It's not that far off, actually. Blake shoots set shots from three point range, brings the ball up and hands it to Brandon, and on occasions swings the ball around the perimeter. He's pretty much a SG here.

And their per 36 stats are pretty similar.

Yes, he missed the FTs against the Clippers but he did hit the game winner against Toronto.

Not true. At. All. Look at our last game. We came out playing well. LMA, Blake, and Roy were all playing well. Then Outlaw came in, missed some shots, and we fell apart.

Re: Miller & Blake: who should start?

By what criteria is that a fact? He had a great assist to turnover ratio. He hit the three point shot at a high rate. He hit a game winning shot. He played good defense. And he set an NBA record with 14 assists in one fucking quarter. He also led his team to 54 wins. 2nd worst in the west? Hardly.

But what if his defender is helping on them since he can't shoot? That said, I think Miller's three point shooting will surprise people this season. Last year was the best of his career!

Kerr won 4 consecutive championships. No one else has done that since the 60s. Am I wrong?

Hey- Oden didn't deserve to play more than 24 minutes last year nor could he stay out of foul trouble enough to even make it possible.

It's true what they say I guess. No matter how intelligent, passionate and accepting a fan base is, there is still at least one asshole who can't appreciate what he has.

I suppose bit part players deseve no recognition, merely insults, especially those that played injured. Then again, injuries arn't on the show reels, they arn't entertaining, they don't come with statistics for you to quote, so what good are they?

Here is a mad idea from an outsider. How about instead of bitching about how poor Blake is, why not be thankful you have him AND Miller and support them both while they are Blazers?

    Just a thought.

I support Blake, just not as the starter when Andre Miller is on the team, too.

So if someone else makes a bad decision in your eyes you are going to take it out on the player who had nothing to do with it?

If the three-ball becomes a regular part of his game at all, that would shock the hell out of me.
