He's not the most overrated but he's certainly nearing the top for most annoying and self-absorbed, that's for sure.

Agreed. Great player, annoying drama queen.

Not the most overrated, but definitely overrated. And a total fucking tool as well.

Living here in Minneapolis.. most people were against him coming here... but I think they secretly liked the idea. It's ironic he wanted to come to a team that would sell "Brett Favre Swallows" T-shirts outside of every game... not just hte packer games, but every game.

As a lifelong Packers fan I'll freely admit that I've grown weary of Favre's drama queen act -- and that happened about 4 years ago for me. I loved watching him play, but his whole legacy is just a little bit tainted in my opinion.

Some people just find it difficult to step off the stage. It's clear he loves playing and is blind to the decline in his skills. Part of me feels sorry for him that he can't move on to the next part of his life.

So the question is, why do teams keep courting him then? We see his skill decline. Why didn't the Minnesota Vikings see it? I really don't see what they are after anyhow, they have a young up and coming team. Their QB needs some work. But it's not like they weren't going the right direction.

I have more of a feeling that Favre going to Minnesota was a bit more about Favre getting back at the pack, and the Minnesota Vikings stabbing at some Packer fans, then anything else.
