It's terrible to see such a long-term player leave but I think we'll cope without him. He wasn't a real regular last season and didn't show any signs of improvement but I'll miss him nonetheless.
Taste of our own medicine, maybe. We've been buying from littler clubs for years. Now some teams are going to outspend us and nab our talent. At least he isn't young anymore.
It's gonna hurt not having him. He struggled last year because of gallas i think. Gallas kept blaming every little thing on toure. If he goes to man city i can see city giving arsenal a run for 4th
City's going to take a minute to gel. That team has a lot of expensive guys who will think they are important. Could be a disaster.
For sure, but i think last year was their disaster. Hopefully all those guys, plus all the new guys see what happened last year and can put it all together. They could be really fun to watch. Plus a kolo toure micah richards partnership could be pretty damn good. add barry, robinho, adebayor, tevez, swp? i'm sure i'm even missing a few, but that is a pretty damn good team.
I see three strikers and only two midfielders. How can it be healthy for a club and chemistry by adding half a dozen players to the squad who will all be playing first team action. They will definitely suffer from bad chemistry.
They added tons of talent, do you think real is gonna be aweful this year too? They 3-4 first teamers so far. I agree with you that they will suffer, but you have to agree they are really moving in a positive direction. They will need time to gel, if that takes awhile, they will probably finish in the top ten, if it is somehow quick and painless, i can see them being 4th.
Yes, I believe Real will be shaky when they start the season, too. You can't just add a bunch of players to the squad and expect instant success.
Well, we got rid of one player that everyone is happy about, got rid of another that is "unsettled", and rumours of him off-loading another player that's "disliked" by the fans. He's doing much better business than he did previously, speeds. Hleb left for around 13m, Flamini left on a free, and previously he let Henry go for 14--We should of gotten at least 20m for him. In just a week or so, we've gotten rid of Adebayor for a huge fee, and Toure went for 6m more than I expected. If we lost Adebayor for 15, and Toure for 10, then I'd be freaking out. I dunno, maybe I'm just in denial but I feel like this is a good bit of business. PS, sign up for the fantasy football when you have time, speeds.
