Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Boy that was worth a good laugh. They will probably be signed before Roy and Aldridge. You have to have your priorities you know!

Or it could be because Cunningham/Pendergraph are pretty easy signs while Roy and Aldridge are complex negotiations since they involve huge sums of money and serious long-term commitments.

In further breaking news, the Blazers ordered lunch for the front office from a Thai restaurant, showing that they prioritize that lunch over Roy and Aldridge. Roy expressed disappointment that Thai food was valued more highly than his basketball services. ;)

The Blazers have Roy and Aldridge UNDER CONTRACT. There's no rush to sign them to extensions. We've got a lot of time to do that.

The rush is that the delay starts to convey a lack of appreciation of the players. For all the talk of "chemistry", this seems like a great way to plant some seeds of dissension...

The "delay" is called negotiating. Roy could always end the "delay" by agreeing to whatever the Blazers want to pay him. I'm not saying he should do that, but neither should the Blazers just immediately agree to whatever Roy wants. Both sides negotiating for their own interests doesn't show a lack of respect by either side. I don't think it's going to plant seeds of dissension. Everyone involved is aware that it's a business.

I dunno. Sorry. I would think not, or else someone would have a link by now in spite of the bickering about other topics. :)

Blazer Hippie, do you realize that two of the primary colors in your avatar are Purple & Piss? I'm not sure that's the message you intended to send. Additionally, part of the sig line is in L*ker Lavender.:tsktsk:

P.S. I repped you for your music. It's good stuff.

Well that all depends. Was it good Thai food, or the type that cleans out your system for a good week or so?

Both sides may negotiate for their own interests, but that doesn't mean it should take this long of a "negotiation." It almost sounds like this type of negotiations normally takes a long time, but other teams have shown that isn't the case.

This is no way to treat a player the Blazer intend to make the face of the franchise. And to say it is just part of the process ignores that many other players who are considered franchise players don't go through such a long "negotiation" period.

Why not give Roy what he wants? NO gave Paul what he wanted. Derron Williams even got into it a little with the Jazz and that was locked up sometime in Mid-July last year. This year Barg is all locked up.

Just because the Blazers say this is all part of the negotiation process doesn't mean it is justified negotiations. Blazer management has been bungling (think that's a word) their way throughout this summer and I think their negotiations with Roy is another item on their summer list that they aren't handling well.

I agree. And just because you want it to be done fast doesn't mean it's "unjustified" negotiations. None of us have any idea what's happening in the negotiations, so my default is to assume that neither side is being villainous.

I disagree with that, considering they added an arguable top ten point guard with point guard being their position of greatest need.

Based on what, besides "I want it to be over by now?"
