I'm sure most of you have seen this, but this is a pretty cool video that has a lot of the players people are picking. It is amazing to see the BB IQ and athleticism of every player on this team.
Haven't seen all of them play but I would pay to watch them on the floor together in their primes: Muggsy Bogues Spudd Webb Allen Iverson Charles Barkley Yao Ming
With the emphasis on entertaining on the court: PG-MAGIC JOHNSON SG-BILLY RAY BATES SF-DOMINIQUE WILKINS PF-PETE MARAVICH C-ARVYDAS SABONIS
a few others deserve a mention... Muggsy Bogues, Billy Ray Bates, Andrew Toney, David Thompson, Dr. J, George Gervin, Darrell Dawkins, Manute Bol, and of course Paul Mokeski STOMP
Since you didn't say all NBA, can I include Diana Taurasi? I love it when UConn would win title after title and Geno Auriemma would simply say "We have Diana. You don't." This thread reminds me of a show I saw on NBA TV a few days ago. They interviewed a male ballet dancer who talked about how much he liked Clyde and MJ and how their grace reminded him of ballet. They interspersed clips of the dancer with clips of Clyde & Michael and you could see the similarity. The dance said now it's more about power and showmanship and chest thumping. I mean, would anyone see Shaq and think ballet?
Thanks for the dream team video. That was truly and amazing team. I forgot that Michael and Clyde did actually play together. I sure wish we could have seen them do it every game for the Blazers, but we all know how that worked out. That behind the back pass from Jordan to Drexler was awesome. Entertaining players that I have watched play... Magic...2nd...Isaiah Thomas Jordan...2nd...Clyde Drexler...3rd...Reggie Miller Bird...2nd...Dominique Wilkins Barkley...2nd...Brian Grant Hakeem...David Robinson
For pure entertainment, nothing beats fast break basketball. So you need a great (and flashy) passer (or two) and a bunch of greyhounds. You also need rebounding (Drexler Blazers) or pressing (Payton Sonics). With that in mind: PG: Magic Johnson SG: Clyde Drexler (yes, over Jordan. Jordan was great all-round but his game was more halfcourt. Nobody beats Drexler on the break) SF: Pistons Grant Hill PF: Shawn Kemp (for sheer entertainment value. And we're talking pre-lockout non-pregnant Kemp) C: David Robinson (unbeatable for end to end speed and agility, and also led the league in rebounding at least once) Run on EVERY play.
Actually, of all NBA players, I can imagine Shaq .
