Howard sucked in the playoffs? 20 ppg? 15 rpg? 2.6 bpg? 60% FGs? Winning games on road in Cleveland and Boston? Scoring 40 in Game 6 of the ECF to lead his team to the Finals? I wish Oden "sucked" like that.
Howards weaknesses were exposed. For many games he wasn't even the best player on his own team. He was frustrated as well. I think he may have played well in round one, but toward the end he was super disappointing. Don't just look at stats, you know better than that (maybe not KingSpeed, but still).
What's sort of amusing is that the article being quoted doesn't even say that Bynum is better than Oden. It just says that Oden is too similar to Howard, whereas Bynum is a "dump it down" center. Obviously Howard is already on the team, and you don't want to duplicate skill sets, so Bynum gets the nod. It's actually fairly reasonable and fairly complimentary to Oden (saying he's very similar to Howard). Only a blind Laker fan would have read it otherwise. I'll be glad if Bynum is picked. I always root against Team USA, and it's one more opportunity for Mr. Brittle to get injured.
