Maybe Damon and Darius can scout for him.... and film a series of stoner road films while they're at it.

Are they fucking crazy? Wonder if they still have advanced scouts that go out on the road and check out the teams on the upcoming schedule. If not, WOW!

Next up: Grizzlies Fire All Coaches.

Says Chris Wallace. "We suck anyway, aren't going to win many games and the players I've assembled are uncoachable. So, why pay a bunch of retread coaches money to sit on the bench with looks of exasperation on their faces? Coaching is overrated. Our players won't listen to them and we can lose just fine without them. And it will save Michael Heisley some money. He didn't buy this team to win basketball games (that should be obvious), he bought it to run it as cheaply as possible. If Donald Sterling can make money on a team that's had only two winning seasons is 28 years. why can't Michael Heisley do the same?"

I can't look down my nose at the Grizzlies for being cheap any longer.

    PA is no different.

So, you'd be perfectly happy to swap rosters with the Grizzlies?

That roster pretty much looks like the 2001-2002 Blazers--a bunch of overpaid, don't-give-a-shit malcontents.

This is such an f'ing joke of a franchise. Now I can understand this is mainly an owner's decision than Wallace's, but for Wallace to say "I prefer a smaller group". WTF, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The guy tries to spin everything ever since that horrid Gasol trade, and even he made some people believe that he did the right thing there.

He could've just said, these are tough economic times and blah blah blah. Not "I prefer a smaller group". That's a flat-out lie. Ugh.. I hate the Grizzlies, disband them now or Stern should force Heisley to sell. They're such a joke.

That article isn't accurate. The Memphis Grizzlies have merely outsourced their scouting to the Los Angeles L*kers. That way, Mitch Kupchak can have the talent and cap space of two teams at his disposal.

Well, then if not that, what exactly did you mean?

The Blazers offered HUGE contracts to free agents Hedo Turkoglu and Paul Millsap in an effort to improve the team. The Grizzlies cheap ass owner wouldn't even pay $3 million per year to keep their own free agent, Hakim Warrick, after both the coach and GM said they wanted to keep him:

When has Paul Allen ever let one of his own free agents, that both the coach and GM wanted to keep, let walk for nothing to save some money? If anything, Allen has a long history of seriously overpaying to keep his own guys (Damon Stoudemire, Zach Randolph, Darius Miles, etc.). Paul Allen spends money to make his team better. Michael Heisley torpedoes his team's chances of winning to save money. So please, explain how Paul Allen "is no different" than Michael Heisley.

PA/KP/Vulcan (whomever) is nickel and diming the two cornerstones of this franchise. That's what I meant when I called PA "cheap."

How the hell can you deduce that I supposedly wanted to swap our rosters when I said that? Unless, you were just baiting me.

Oh yeah, that makes complete sense. Or not. The franchise that a few years ago was losing $100 million for overpaying players in an attempt to win has a cheap owner. Sure thing. :biglaugh:

He's only "being cheap" if he lets them walk over a million or two. Negotiating tough isn't being cheap, it's being a businessman.
