They have recently acquired: Tito Ortiz Cro Cop Vitor Belfort Ben Rothwell Paul Daley Chase Gormley Dan Lauzon Rafaello Oliveria Not to mention the fact that I believe they made a good effort to sign Fedor and they have begun a partnership with ESPN in the UK as well as struck a TV deal in Mexico. I am excited to see these new faces in the UFC. Expect the list to grow along with the strength of the promotion. I just hope they retract their super offer, and have M-1 come crawling back to them after Strikeforce is only willing to accept an intelligent offer.
Strikeforce is a smart business, they won't give Fedor a big contract because they can't afford it. Affliction tried, and they went under. Basically, Fedor needs the UFC if people want to take his legacy seriously. Until then, he is just a joke who didn't sign up for the big show.
Supposedly the UFC drew in excess of 25-million viewers on free TV in Mexico for UFC 100. The Tito Ortiz signing is supposedly going to be a tool for breaking into that market in a bigger way--including a PPV in Mexico City.
Yea, they also supposedly got like 18 million on a UFC unleashed lol. (probably because it was the first UFC show available)
Thanks for making me look like a tool, Fedor. So now it is Strikeforce and M-1 Global present... how fucking lame. Fuck M-1.
