Ok I broke my phone and i dont got insurance. If you bought a phone of craigslist will verizon just let you switch that phone with your broken one? with the same number and everything? or will they not do this and force you to buy a phone from there store? has anyone been threw this?
If you hadn't made such unbelievably retarded statements about my Blazers over the last 2 months I would help you. But you did, so peace out!
not unless you are ready for contract renewal. you have to be like 22 of 24 months into your contract.
If you already have an account with verizon, I believe you can take another verizon phone (bought off of ebay) and use your old contract with the newly purchased phone (no additional fees). But the easiest way to get an official answer is call cusotmer service or call a local verizon wireless store.
That happened to me last summer. I got an old phone, took it to Verizon and they changed it over at no cost. The key thing was that it was Verizon phone to begin with. So if you get one off Craig's List, make sure it's a Verizon phone and you should be fine.
So there is no 100 fee? someone else said that was b.s also. i wish i could call customer service lol. i guess i will just go to a store and ask them
Nope!!!!!!!!! They will charge him 100 bucks to do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know where you guys get your info, but they will charge HIM 100 bucks!!!!!!!!
thanks thats great news!! how would i make sure the phone is not stolen or anything? craigslist can be shady. anyway to check this?
phycho T i got your PM. I got like 5 other people saying verizon doesn't charge anything though. i guess i will just go to a store and see if i can find out
They do not charge you unless you change your plan or get a discount on a new phone. HOWEVER, some of the ESN numbers on the phone are bad...stolen phones are blacklisted, and you have to check them. http://wirelesssupport.verizon.com/information/esn_meid.html?t=5 You may have to pay about $35 to activate the phone though.
http://cellphoneforums.net/alt-cellular-verizon/t219762-how-check-if-esn-clean.html basically: before you buy, ask for the ESN. then call verizon customer support and ask them
