Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) It'll be good to Silva thump someone out again. Three rounds should put the pressure on him to finish fast. No more dancing.
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) I truely believe that Forrest can be the guy who defeats Silva. He is a very big LHW, who's a great all around fighter. I hope Penn, gets a hit with some of K-Flo's elbows. I can't stand Penn.
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) Main Card Bouts: - B.J. Penn (13-5-1) -270 vs. Kenny Florian (12-3) +210 - Anderson Silva (24-4) -400 vs. Forrest Griffin (18-5) +300 - Amir Sadollah (5-0) -130 vs. Johny Hendricks (5-0) +105 - Ricardo Almeida (10-3) -165 vs. Kendall Grove (12-5) +140 - Josh Neer (25-7-1) -250 vs. Kurt Pellegrino (13-4) +190 Preliminary Bouts: - Aaron Riley (27-11-1) -165 vs. Shane Nelson (12-3) +140 - Tamdan McCrory (11-2) -200 vs. John Howard (11-4) +160 - Thales Leites (14-2) -500 vs. Alessio Sakara (13-7) +300 - Matt Riddle (3-1) -185 vs. Dan Cramer (3-1) +145 - Danillo Villefort (9-2) -210 vs. Jesse Lennox (10-1) +170
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) The best line in this one seems to be Sadollah vs. Hendricks. Hendricks is a great wrestler. If he can avoid submissions from Sadollah he might be able to take that fight.
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) I'd take Griffin at +300 but Anderson has won me so much money that I'm just not gonna bother betting. I like Grove at +140 and Kenny at +210 for good value bets (and I think both should win straight up anyway)
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) It's fairly easy actually. Whomever you think will win - bet on them. It's hard to make a lot though, because you need to lay a lot of money on some of the top guys because they're always -300 or worse.
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) Who do you usually bet on and what do you usually lay down if you don't mind me asking?
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) Well at 100 I laid big money down on St. Pierre because he was so heavily favored (and rightfully so), almost at -500 if I remember right, I think I laid like 500 down or something ridiculous so I could see some action back my way. I took a shot with Mir cause he was a +200 dog and I thuought it'd be good value for him, but I only laid 50 bones down on him, so overall on the night I bet $550, won $250 on GSP and lost $50 on Mir, overall ending with $750. I didn't really like any of the other lines enough to bet them. A while back I made a $25 dollar investment signing up on sportsbook, and now I have over $2000 on it...
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) Can you PM me with how sportsbook works? Is that legit cash? Could you get a check for $2000 grand?
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) Everyone made weight. Forrest looked fucking ripped (from what I could see through his man-mane). MAIN CARD * Champ B.J. Penn (155) vs. Kenny Florian (155) * Champ Anderson Silva (205) vs. Forrest Griffin (205) * Ricardo Almeida (185) vs. Kendall Grove (185.5) * Josh Neer (155.5) vs. Kurt Pellegrino (154.5) * Johny Hendricks (171) vs. Amir Sadollah (166.5) PRELIMINARY CARD * Shane Nelson (156) vs. Aaron Riley (154) * John Howard (169.5) vs. Tamdan McCrory (170) * Thales Leites (185) vs. Alessio Sakara (185.5) * Dan Cramer (169.5) vs. Matthew Riddle (170) * George Roop (154) vs. George Sotiropoulos (155) * Jesse Lennox (171) vs. Danillo Villefort (170.25)
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) Roy Jones Jr. will be at the event tonight to see Silva live in action.
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) 166.5 for Amir? That's well underweight. Looks like he'll be at a weight disadvantage in that fight, and against a wrestler no less. Also, it seems this will be McCrory's last fight at welterweight as he'll be moving up. The cut was a bad one. Could affect his performance.
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) You watch the weigh-ins? For those who didn't, McCrory came up in sweat pants, sweatshirt, and plastics, and had to wipe the sweat off to make his weight. I don't see the weight being too big of an issue for Sadollah though, he's pretty good off his back.
Re: UFC 101: Declaration (Aug. 8th) Amir got ripped off...stopped waaay too early. Mirgliotta shows us once again hes a piss poor ref. I guess on a positive not for Amir, he looked pretty crisp on his feet before the fight stopped.
