Heading to Sunriver in a couple weeks and was wondering if any of you that live in central oregon, or frequent that area often know of any bodies of water within 30 minutes drive that rent jet ski's? Yes, I know, "google it," but I know Maris lives in that area, and BW lives in Hood River which is kind of close.
I think Crane Prarie might. Haystack and Lake Billy do for sure. East and Paulina Lake might as well. There's plenty of lakes out there I'm sure one wont be hard to find.
i think you need to spell it out for him. http://www.oregonstateparks.org/images/pdf/lake_billy_chinook.pdf
Been to Billy Chinook once, honestly don't remember how close it is to Sunriver. In my mind, it's too far, but I'll check it out. Like I said, been there once.
My whole fantasy football crew will arrive on the 20th, leaving the 24th. Most of the guys in my avatar are my fantasy football teammates. We travel every year for this. Vegas, Oregon Coast, Sunriver. It's 4 days of debauchery. I'd like to add some motor driven water crafts to the event. This is our 2nd trip to central oregon in 6 years. I want it to be good.
If you're at Sunriver, Cultus Lake is just around the corner on the Cascade Lakes Scenic Highway. http://www.cultuslakeresort.com/activities.html Crane Prairie is great for fishing or sailing but has a 10mph speed limit. Billy Chinook is about an hour away.
So I was right about Billy C, but thanks Maris. Appreciate the advice. Will certainly check out Cultus Lake.
sorry I dont know too much about the Central Oregon are with what to do. I used to date a girl in Bend for like 2 years but that was the extent of my knowledge. Sorry couldnt help.
I'll be there starting the 14th . . . buy you a beer? Along those lines, taking the nieces out fishing. Need a good spot (probably lake fishing) where they are likely to catch . . . stocked trout, bass . . . doesn't matter, just want to catch something. Recommendations?
Send me a PM and I'll let you know where my house is. You should come by and party with my crew! I'll be hanging at the golf tournament quite a bit.
I'm guessing there's trout ponds around Fall River where the kids can catch something, but I'm not sure. I usually have a guide take me up to Little Lava Lake, but that can be expensive.
There's good fishing at about any lake in Central Oregon, if your into fly fishing the rivers kick ass too.
