Bad comparison. They play completely different and it is hard to compare. It depends on what your team needs. A shooter or a slasher.

Better Scorer=SameBetter Defender=DirkMore Reliable= WadeBetter Shooter=DirkBetter Slasher=WadeBetter Passer=WadeBetter Rebounder=DirkThey are about as equal as you get but the shooting part is probably the most important ingredient and Dirk has the advantage there. 3 pointers, midrange, and free throws.
^^ What's this about Dirk being better than Wade. I know he's improved big time, but I still se flashes of the old No D Dirk.Wade. THe only thing Dirk has on Wade is shooting and rebounding.
Guys, you know NOTHING about Dirk. Dirk is a great pick-and-roll defender and a great team defender. If you listen to commentary and all that <Censored>.If it's strictly this season, then...Better Scorer= TieBetter Defender= Dirk NowitzkiMore Reliable= DIRK NOWITZKIBetter Shooter= Dirk NowitzkiBetter Slasher= Dwyane WadeBetter Passer= Dywane WadeBetter Rebounder= Dirk NowitzkiWade has had plenty of clutch opportunities (something like 18 straight points), but Nowitzki has had 6-20 games when he suddenly starts going on fire in crunch time. Here are just a few of those games...-Phoenix (11 straight points to overcome Phoenix 17 point lead)-San Antonio (Jumper over Duncan and Parker just last week in crunchtime)-Toronto (10 points in overtime, blocked the potential gamewinning shot, game-winner with 1 second left, 24-point comeback)-Toronto (scored 8 straight points, with two treys and a jumper over two defenders with about 18 seconds left)-LA Clippers (came into last play last night with 5-18 shooting, then squared up on Chris Kaman and drilled a jumper with .7 seconds remaining)-Game-winning shot in a EuroBasket gamePlus, Dirk is more of an MVP candidate and more of a leader. Don't compare Dirk, a seven-foot phenomenon, so Wade, who is probably going to end up scoring 30,000 in his career or 20,000, but still, Dirk is a player who doesn't care about his stats.
