As bad as Stackhouse is in shooting and turnovers Armstrong is even worse. Terry is going to have to play heavy minutes at point guard for Dallas in the playoffs.

Another note, Most of Armstrong's and Mbenga's minutes are when the game is already decided. So technically when they turn the ball over or shoot a bad shot, it isnt hurting the team. Last 21 games, 12.2 minutes per turnover. First 40 games his assist to turnover ratio was at 1.15. his last 21 games its at 1.86. I know its not the best, but he is getting better.

But you don't expect them to score. Dallas is dependent on outscoring other teams benches. That is how they got 60 wins. Without that advantage it will be much tougher to win. If Armstrong averaged starters minutes that would be 4 turnovers a game which isn't good.

Also, come playoff time bench minutes will decrease, so I don't see the concern. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>As bad as Stackhouse is in shooting and turnovers Armstrong is even worse. I don't get what your concerned over. I mean Darrell was our backup pg last year for the playoffs if you don't remember since Harris did not have Avery's trust.

As if you didn't know already Armstrong is getting old. Last year Harris was a rookie. A lot of things have changed since than. Harris is having a breakout year while Armstrong continutes to decline. Terry doesn't play good defense when he plays a lot of minutes so that is why Dallas has been struggling on defense lately.

A year did not hurt him. Also, this isn't a breakout year for Devin, it's the first year he got decent playing time. But he's only shown flashes, he hasn't been consistent, one game he goes off, another he fouls out in 15 minutes. It's been up and down all year combined with the injury issues. Not a breakout year imo. And wow we haven't played good defense without Harris? What a joke of a statement. We've been fine defensively.

Jason Terry has also been up and down all year. You for some reason are not giving Harris any credit despite his game altering slashing and clutch shots. Armstrong scores like 9 less points than Harris this year. That shows how much of a difference there is. Terry is not good at defending point guard and we need scoring at the backup point guard along with taking the pressure off of Terry.

I said he's not having a breakout year. That's not giving him credit? I've praised him but I'm not gonna say he broke out this year because he didn't. Also, why are you comparing Armstrong to Harris now? I said were fine with DA backing up since Harris is hurt. I didn't say DA was better.

I don't even think we're fine. We aren't getting scoring now that we were getting all year from our bench. The Van Horn loss looks worse now that Harris is gone as well. Our bench scoring is depleted now.

You have no answer to this post so you resort to stupid comments like "knee-jerk reaction". I guess you are stubborn when you lose an argument and don't want to admit that I'm right. I watched every mavs game this year and a lot of them more than once so I think I know what I'm talking about. Harris plays both offense and defense, Terry is streaky on both sides, and Armstrong is consistenly bad on offense and good most of the time on defense. This team needs scoring off the bench at the point guard. A lineup of Armstrong, Stackhouse, and Griffin will struggle to score. Harris is our best slasher on our team. Stackhouse is not the answer though he thinks he is.

I watched every game as well, and i think we dont need to worry about this until the 2nd round. But by then, if all goes well, Harris will be back. If not, they'll have to do without. Plain and simple. Mavsfan, i think you like Harris too much and not Armstrong enough. One more point, if you hate how many Turnovers Armstrong commits, have you looked at Daniels turnovers?? He averages almost 2 a game. Also, Griffin will be in the starting lineup, so he's not going to have to score. Daniels and Stackhouse will have to, and they are plenty good at that.

Yeah but you expect the point guard to be good at controlling that. If Armstrong is going to have a lot of turnover than he should get a lot of assist. Why is everything like and dislike on here? Just because their game doesn't benefit the team as well as someone else doesn't mean I dislike them.

Well you do seem to have a hardon for Harris and not Armstrong.Armstrong just seems to do a better job at actually running the point than Harris, allthough Harris is obviously the more talented player.Harris just hasn't learned to be a good PG yet, he's still a good slasher, and somewhat as a scorer, but he doens't seem to turn a game around when he's in there like Armstrong can.And that's no shot at Harris, love the kid myself, but he just doesn't do what Armstrong does when he comes in, despite being less talented and older than Harris.

Wow man. You make stuff up as you go. I already said Armstrong is turnover prone and can't score. He doesn't get many assist either. How is that running the point better than Harris? You are very biased towards Armstrong if you actually think Armstrong has done a better job. Harris leads the team in assist per 48 minutes. You have an hardon with vets just as much as I have for the BEST players on the team.

And your right about what exactly? I told you I agree were not as good with Harris out, but I'm not going to say were done without him. We've played fine defense without him and were still winning games. Is he key yes, that's why teams who win championships are the ones who are healthy. But if he's out, I'm not going to sit here and say DA can't step up and start bitching about losing. That's not being a fan. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>How is that running the point better than Harris? And that's why were lucky to have him with Harris out for now. It's not about whose better, we know Harris is the backup pg, but we know DA will step and this team will do fine. Keep bagging on the guys you don't like, their still vital to the team.

He is fine as a last resort and I agree that this team is better with Harris over Armstrong. Why are you getting worked up again if you agree with my comments? As for this topic I don't see Livingston as being anything great but I'll watch more of him to learn more. For example I'll watch tonights game against the Grizzlies.

I responded to you calling my comment stupid and losing a argument when you stated were not fine right now, when I disagree and I think it's a knee jerk reaction to Harris being out.

I'm saying Harris>Armstrong and am shocked Marvinmartian disagrees. I counter attack all your comments and all you have comeback with is knee jerk reaction. If our goal is to win a championship than we need Harris. If our goal is to get out of the first round than we most likely don't need Harris. I don't know how I loss the argument when you are arguing about nothing but why I responded to Marvinmartian who said "Armstrong runs the team better than Harris."
