I was surprised Forrest just gave up like that, I was 100% sure he was gonna go until he was out cold. Anderson Silva just toyed with him the entire fight, hands at his sides doing his best matrix impression. I think Silva's next opponent needs to consider working the body instead of going for a headshot.

Man, it was nice of Anderson to remind us of why he's the most feared striker in MMA history. His knockout of Griffin was crazy. He basically had Forrest out on his feet twice and let it go a little longer for the fans. The final punch put Griffin on queer street for good. Anderson is still a beast.

Didn't see the fights, I was on a flight.

Heard about Forrest, wow...I'm shocked. Embarrassing. I'm sure Dana isn't happy.

    And yeah, Penn whooped ass.

i expected so much more from griffin..
wow what can i say.. the way he left the building pretty much painted the picture that this has to be one of the most embarassing knockouts in ufc history..

that ko punch that silva threw at forrest i think was like a counter jab.. wow!

its actually not that embarrassing. Silva is arguably the top P4P fighter in MMA and is the top striker in MMA. Also Griffin was basically out before that final punch put him down for good.

Forrest got up quickly, and ran out of the ring a little to fast... He had one of the best chins in the UFC and Silva was backing up when he threw that jab.

Forrest has one of the best chins in the UFC?

This is the third time he's been knocked out in six fights.

He's also been knocked out by Jeremy Horn, of all people.

Silva certainly didn't win any fans with his cockiness, but he's still the top p4p guy right now. I think he would tool on GSP, his best fight available is Machida right now, IMO. He was unreal.

Penn was awesome, Kenny fought way too tentatively and really shied away from striking too much. I don't think he gave himself a chance to win.

Well, he has shown that he can take a beating like the Shogun fight.

I really wanna see Silva-Machida. That win last night was insane. Going into it liking both fighters and not leaning either way, I have to say it was one of the most amazing fights I've seen in UFC despite it being so lopsided. Utter dominance against a pretty damn good (and big) LHW.

So who's Silva going to fight next? I hear he may have to go back to middleweight to fight against Hendo but I'm a lot more interested in seeing him continue on in the LHW's. Seems like a lot to handle making him gain the weight to fight Forrest, then lose it to fight Hendo, then gain it back to continue at LHW. How about Silva against the loser of Rashad-Rampage (we've already been told winner of that fight gets Machida, no?) then if he wins Silva gets a title fight at LHW.

A Machida vs Anderson Silva fight would like Neo vs Agent Smith. Unless he gets it right after the Hendo fight and they scrap a potential superfight against GSP. I honestly believe that fight will never happen though, I think Silva would rather retire than do that fight.

Kenny's gameplan was terrible. He would've been better off kickboxing with Penn.

GSP would pose problems for Silva because he is fast and he works in tight. He could get Silva down pretty easily (based on Silva's other fights) and maintain top control. Silva hasn't been pushed like that in the UFC.

Silva vs. Machida will probably never happen.

Sanchez is a better opponent for Penn. That should be an interesting fight. Sanchez will try to fight him like GSP did.
