Yes you did ^. And whats point did you counter? Because it is. You said were not fine, and I beg to differ. We need more then just Harris, other players are key as well. Also, you said I lost the argument, that's why I said that. There was no argument, that's why I responded. So start reading. Which goes back to my point of you saying you countered all my points but then say there's no argument. It just makes no sense.
I guess fine for me defines a good chance in winning the championship. I don't care about getting out of first round if we go down to San Antonio right after that which I think will happen if Harris isn't 100%. With Harris playing as well as he did in the regular season we have a good chance in knocking out San Antonio. I guess the argument somehow got here in how important Harris is to the mavs success. Yes I think all the players in the mavs rotation is important. If any are out than Dallas could be in bad shape. Not just Harris. Daniels and Stackhouse are important to the bench scoring now.
Hold up small fry, I never said Armstrong is the better player, if you actually read my post you'd see that. I even said that Harris is obviously the most talented of the two, all I said was the Armstrong is better at running the point, and no I"m not ignoring his TO's and assist, he doens't really play enough to even count those stats. If you watched games like you say you do, than you'd see a difference in play when DA is on the floor and when Harris is. Harris will slash, and get some points, but we always make runs, and play well as a team when DA is in there. That's why I said he's better at running the point at this time, but I'm not saying he's a better player than Harris, that's just stupid, and the fact that you aren't actually reading the stuff I"m posting, makes me mad.

There has only been a couple of games this year where we made a run with DA.
Okay, let me reaphrase then, we make more runs, and turn more games around when DA is running the post, more than Harris does.Better?

A lot of the times the other team makes a big run and we are forced to bring back Terry. You complain about Harris being inconsistent. Armstrong is even worse. Some days he doesn't have it. Lately though he has improved.
Umm, we came back on Memphis and Cleavland, out of games that I've watched where he came in and set a tone. And I'm sure there are more games where his energy and leadership has turned the game around.
Oh yeah I'm sure Armstrong has turned around many games despite stats that prove you wrong. You have nothing to back you up on any proof so just admit that Dallas has a big hole at the backup point guard ever since Harris went out.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Waqas @ Apr 25 2006, 10:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Well, Harris isn't nearly as good as a guy like Armstrong in the postseason.</div>Harris has only played one game this month. You are too quick to make overall judgements on one game. I expect Harris to have a better game in game 2. Armstrong I don't expect much out of.
Have you seen Livingston this postseason??He is playing really well. His court vision is really showing up right now. Game 1-20Min, 1-4FGM-A, 1 Reb, 3 Ast, 2 PtsGame 2-21Min, 2-3FGM-A, 3 Reb, 3 Ast, 5 PtsGame 3-31Min, 3-7FGM-A, 8 Reb, 4 Ast, 7 PtsGame 4-32Min, 7-10FGM-A, 6 Reb, 6 Ast, 16 PtsAll games coming off the bench. I know he's playin the Nuggets, not the greatest defensive team, but still he's been doing pretty good. Compare that to Harris's playoff performance. I know he's coming off an injury and is rusty, but i still believe Livingston will be the better player of the 2.
Harris will be better if the opportunity comes to him. Right now Terry is Dallas's second best player so it is hard to get Harris in the game. I think Avery should take out Stackhouse and substitute Harris and let Terry run the team.
But Stack still comes up big for us from time to time...Harris isn't quite that player yet.But we'll go round and round about this, and you obviously think more of Harris than just about everyone on this board.
Remember what Harris did earlier in the season getting a steal and going all the way to the basket and winning the game? Stackhouse is a bad shooter, turnover prone, bad defender, and overrated on rebounding. What is he good for? Harris at least you'll know that he will create some havoc on defense with steals and is capable of getting easy points off of slashing. He is also Dallas's best point guard defender. That enough is why I think he should be getting minutes over Stackhouse.
Umm, I seem to remember him making some clutch baskets in the 4th quarter and OT last night?Remember?Oh, and I also remember Harris having a real bad game...But Stack is worthless, and Harris is SOOOO great.
Did you listen to a word I said? Harris does more than Stackhouse for this team. It's not like I said Harris is better than Terry.
Guys this is about Livy and Harris, not about Stack and Harris. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Harris will be better if the opportunity comes to him. I still think Livy is the better player down the line and we've already gone through it, so yea, why was this bumped?
True, it isn't about Stack and Harris. But I just disagree with the statement that Harris does more for the Mavs than Stack.I'll agree that Harris will do more for us, as a player, maybe as early as next season...but right now he's no more valuable than Stack, and probably not as much as Griff. And I'd take Livy over Harris right now...he has more upside. But like I've said before, I think Harris will max out his potential, I'm not sure Livy will...and if he doesn't, then Harris could be the better player.

Avery has a quick trigger on Harris for some reason. I don't think Avery likes young players. Older players get more leeway even if they make rookie mistakes.
