GS is way overstocked as you said at the 3. They could use help at backup PG/SG and Bayless would absolutely thrive in Nellie's system. We could throw in Cunningham, Pendergraph or Freeland if they need a big. It's a bit lopsided in our favor but not as much as I think you make it out. I'm also leery of giving the other team more talent in a trade after the shellackings I've got around here for that. We could throw in picks and/or cash.

Look GS has way to many 2's and 3's and something has gotta give there simply aren't enough minutes for all of them, they must have half the SF's in the league on that team. It would make sense to me for them to get someone who could excel both in the open court and also create his shot in the 1/2 court if the break isn't there (Something GS desperately needs). Bayless could look like an All-Star in Nellie's system IMO.

I think Nellie has has enough of Wright. Or getting close it. He is an interesting young prospect even now.

Are you saying Nellie doesn't like Wright?

Ellis and Currey were never MVP of the Las Vegas summer league. :biglaugh:

good grief dude... ever heard of Monta Ellis? How about their lotto pick Curry? Both are the same size and have the same sort of tweener 1/2 games and limitations that Jerryd does (except of course Ellis has shown he's pretty effective). Yet you've got them trading away two of their few usable Bigs to add to their glut at guard and SF??? Throwing in a 2nd round rookie Big from whats widely perceived as a very poor draft doesn't sweeten the deal for them.

I know we don't have much to discuss now, but if you're going to propose ridiculous trades don't be surprised that someone calls them that. If you don't want a shellacking on trade ideas, try for a balance of talent and matching of the team's needs.

Fair enough I didn't think it was ridiculous maybe just not thought out well enough. I also thought GS wanted to get rid of Ellis due to the whole moped thing. I was imagining a Curry Bayless back court of the future under Nellie. I mean weren't they involved in a trade rumor for T-mac? Turiaf is a big but Wright is a tweener 3/4.

It's no wonder trades are so rare it's virtually impossible to find a team that has what you need and you have what they need. I don't know what GS needs other then a clean slate. Houston has plenty of PF's and needs a center. Almost every team that has something we want doesn't need what we have. Makes reasonable trade proposals difficult at best.

how so? Wright measured out as a PF in his pre-draft (6'8.75 barefoot with 7'3.75 wingspan) and lacks both the handle and jumper that is desired in a 3. Dude is a PF.
Portland has very few needs on their roster... they're one of the deepest teams in the league. All things considered I'd be pretty shocked if they make another substantial move this summer.

How about this weather we're having...

Well there's no question I have dog day of summer-itis. I don't think I've ever been so amped for a season to start before. I know I'm even more amped then last year. You have to go back to Clyde and Terry days, or the summer we acquired Pippen to match the excitement I'm feeling. This time it seems like it will be even better.

    As far as this goes:

I was misled by ESPN http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=3242.

So all I can say is I feel like the guy that the narrator of this commercial meets at the Sports Bar...

Haslem is a starter and Turiaf is not. Haslem is considerably better. I don't see Miami losing their PF who plays C for them, since they have nobody else. If you throw in Joel, there might be a deal to be had.

given health, it's only a few months till the Blazers start kicking the shit out of the league for the next 6-10 years or so... I'm fine with letting the anticipation build a bit
is this the same ESPN that had Bo Outlaw's pic in Travis's profile for the first 4 years of his career?
to take that compliment (of sorts) a step further, I recommend you see John Carpenter's classic 1st film Darkstar

He put me on "ignore" for calling him out on his journeys into Imaginary Trade Land. I'm pretty sure I am the only person on his ignore list. I am completely at ease with this knowledge. :ghoti:

I actually put you on ignore for saying I was spreading lies. This after numerous posts in numerous threads where you belittle people and add little to the conversation. Once in awhile I take you off to see if you are saying something interesting. I'm usually reminded why I put you on it in the first place. I'm increasingly of the opinion that it is a waste of my time to check in and see what you are saying. At least Odenisgod is amusing at times. FYI I haven't put Ed O, Yuyuza1 or a variety of others who absolutely lambasted me for trade ideas. The difference is I actually appreciate what they bring to the forum. I'm probably just feeding the trolls here but since you misrepresented me, again, I am once more giving you the sole privilege of being ignored. I sorta defeated my own purpose here, but it clears up as to the why you are on ignore so others don't think I can't listen to their criticisms.

you've an odd memory PapaG. You're obviously not on my ignore list as I've spoken to you within the last month asking you if you used to go by the handle Terrible... you didn't respond. I do usually avoid you though as I've found the exchanges more confrontational/you against the world more then anything else... but I'm glad that you're at ease these days :)

Thank you for the indepth analysis of why you put me on ignore, yet again. Let me know when I'm off of ignore again, would you? It's confusing for me to figure out who may respond to my posts, and who may not respond to my posts. :)

For the record, I did apologize to you, on this board, for accusing you of spreading lies.
