Maybe he doens't like rookies who make rookie mistakes...a vet doesn't make rookie mistakes either...or they wouldn't play either.

As of lately it hasn't been close. I've been watching Livingston a lot on the Clippers. He is an offensive liability. He can't hit any jumper and isn't that great of a slasher. Harris is just as good on defense and clearly better on offense.

And both are still young, and haven't even scratched the surface on what they can do yet.Right now, Harris has the edge, and is playing on the much better team. But Livingston still has more potential...he just may never reach it.

How does Livingston have more potential? Harris I believe is the fastest player in the nba. Livingston just doesn't seem to have the aggresiveness to be a great player imo. Overhyped.

I'm telling you Livingston is something special and will be one of the great point guards when he retires. As good as Harris is, Livingston is going to be a little better imo. Both will have great careers in the leagues though.

That is a bold statement and I think you are going out of the limb by saying that. His playmaking isn't even close to Steve Nash and Jason Kidd. He hardly does anything but set up the offense. He rarely penetrates and his jump shot is ugly.

I didnt say his playmaking is as good as Nash or Kidd's, but its better than most point guards in the league. If you watch the games, he gets his team easy shots. I know right now he isnt getting the big minutes because Cassell is starting, but i believe that the Clips let Cassell walk and let Livingston run the team. I dont think there will be a drop off next year, i'm telling you, he'll be an all-star within a few years.

See Livingston has the more POTENTIAL...he may never reach it, but it's there.Harris is starting to show signs he will be a pretty good to great PG too.But if you think about the potential of both, and think about what they'd be if they maxed out their potential...Then Livy would have the edge, based on his natural skills and size...while Harris will still be a great PG, but is probably quicker, and not as big as Livy. But then again, Harris might have the better career, because he's been given more time, and is on a much better team, and Livy might not ever realize his potential.

Devin Harris easily, Devin harris has stepped up in the pressure this postseason, and is the reason why the Mavericks have a commanding lead over the Spurs.

IMO, I think Devin Harris is better than Shaun Livingston. Both players come off the bench, but Devin Harris has better stats than Shaun. Devin is averaging 10 points a game while Shaun is averaging 6. Devin's also been more of a contribution to his team than Shaun.

As many have said, they both need to bulk up but Livingston imo dominates the floor much more than Harris does. Livingston is my choice.

Well I don't think Livy "Dominates" his competition...not yet at least. But with his size and court vision, he could be more dominant than Harris. But right now, Harris has done more, and on a much more talented team...So at this point, it's Harris that has the edge, but Livy could pass him by before long.

I just don't think Livingston has the offensive explosion or the shooting touch to be up there with the top point guards. He is a defensive point guard with some passing skills.

He's still young, and Harris isn't a good shooter yet either...so both have room for improvement. All I'm saying is that Livy has shown that he has good court vision, and is probably a better passer than Harris is. But Harris is quicker, and that gives him the edge right now.

Devin Harris is more mature right now, and he shows sign of great leadership. He is a better passer, and scorer, for now. Livingston is almost like Devin Harris, except he is lacking the neccesary killer pg instinct that is needed to be that certain leader.Devin Harris, for now. And they're both part of the same class.
