I think maybe the combination of it being August and not much happening in the world of hoops, and the constant creation of threads and posts that are a complete waste of time by a certain poster have made me consider taking some time off from here. Most of you could probably care less, but the constant bullshit on here is getting old!
Agree. Discussion & disagreement is one thing. Even OT. But the constant rumor mongering over and over 20 new threads a day has, as you say HPC, gotten real old and really dull.

Police this thing yourselves. Make an effort to put up more basketball stuff. Harder to do when its the off season. Not impossible. There are a lot of people here who know how to do this. Yet they don't....at least not very often. This is your house. Piss on those who crap on the carpet. Fix things up the way you want them to be. You can do anything you want, or nothing at all. Have a good idea? Need some help? Management here is second to none. I know these are the dog days of August, but a little creativity here could make things more interesting. There is no shortage of opinions here. Make use of that.
People have been complaining about the "recent" trolling and "recent" bad attitudes in this community for over a decade. There's nothing happening right now. I know that's why I, at least, am not posting. Ed O.
I agree. It's a shame the mods have to act based on rules and they're not allowed to use common sense judgment. I love that this site allows more freedom than some of the other boards, but it's become real annoying to sift through repeated threads with many posts I'm ignoring.
I can't speak for other mods, but I think that the rules here are great. I think that we do a pretty good job of merging threads and in cleaning up personal attacks and while there is a lot of noise, and that noise tends to come from a relatively small number of posters, I think it's just the price of expanding our user base and I don't think that erring on the side of shutting people up is a wise way to grow.
