Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Bill WaltonBill's a lightning rod, to be sure, but he also may be the most subversive talent the tube has to offer. Where others see a fawning sellout, I see an ardent fan who can't believe he's allowed to wax and preen on The Man's dime. Where others see a blustery hyperbole machine, I recognize a guy who loves to toy with the absurdities behind throwing huge gobs of money and focused klieg lights at men in short pants. I think Walton is one of the funniest guys on TV, I think he knows exactly what he's doing, and I know the proceeding paragraph will probably result in a brick being thrown through my living room window.</div> I hear most of these guys on League pass. All are very biased.I always loved Mark Zumoff and Steve Mix.
Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts I cant stand Walton as an analyst..Hes flat out terrible..
Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts i love it when kenny smith is calling the knicks games. he knows a lot about the game and he isn't too critical.
Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts Being a Nets fan, I think Ian Eagle is the best analyst in the NBA..I like him better than Marv Albert although Marv is better known around the league..
Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts Every Pistons fan here knows Blaha is the man. He's got the coolest stuff that he says - I also took a picture wtih him at the Pacers game on sunday - very cool guy.
Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Detroit PistonsGeorge Blaha, Bill Laimbeer, Greg KelserBlaha commands respect. He is judicious with his rants and raves, though it is sort of cute the way he refers to the Pistons by their first names instead of their last. Nothing too exciting about his play-calling, but he provides a fun atmosphere and doesn't miss a beat, game after game. Laimbeer antagonizes the hell out of his listeners. It isn't anything that he does personally (actually, he's rather innocuous on air, and pretty good as an analyst), but any non-Pistons fans of a certain age just isn't ready to accept Laimbeer as anything but a misanthrope in short pants and a plastic face mask. Kelser, the reserve color analyst, is energetic and knowledgeable.</div>Blaha is the man.Laimbeer isn't bad. He is biased though. Sometimes Mahorn is the coach, b/c he coaches the Shock.Kelser sucks. His voice is annoying and nothing I interesting comes out of him. Thats why UPN is the better of the two channels for UPN. Fox Sports is terrible, thanks to Kelser.
Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts haha, i can't believe the Cs got an A. haha, i love tommy.
Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts I love Chuck Swirsky bc of his energy. lol he is just great. But I cant stand Leo. He is always going on about his <Censored> playing days when he played like a clown in the NBA and it gets really annoying. He always likes to brag about that stuff

He's kind of funny too. i like him as a broadcaster. But man, do i hate baseball cards..

Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts i wish marv stayed with the knicks. he is the epitome of broadcasting basketball games. james dolan is such a douchebag, he fired marv because he thought he was too critical. i don't think he was too critical at all either.
Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts I enjoy the broadcats alot better when Jack Armstrong is on instead of Leo. Leo honestly pisses me off. He ruined the Raps broadcasting grade.
Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts Buckhantz and Chenier are pretty interesting to hear as commentators. Buck has all these phrases that he uses that make me crack up: "Well, how do you like that?""BACKBREAKER!!!!!!!"Chenier is pretty good at knowing what plays other teams are running, and I like him too, although he's not as funny as Buck.
Re: SI's writer grades each teams TV analysts The raptors announcer's a little whiny <Censored>. He got SOO mad when Gerald Green threw down that sick dunk from TA. he said this after the dunk:"You talk about rubbing it in, i'm sorry. I don't like that. I know it's showtime, I know it's entertainment. You know what? Just dribble out the clock. I don't think that was very classy at all."who cares? honestly, he's a rookie trying to show people what he can do. hahaha, tommy heinsohn heard about this and told the guy to get a life. haha, that was classic. :HAHAHA:
