Before they do anything they really need to figure out how to widen I-5 to more than just to 2 lanes in both directions.
Good God, I'm going to be 78 years old by the time this gets built and is operational, if it happens at all. This has been an "idea" since the RG was conceptualized, and that was in what, 1992? Something like that. Whatevs....
My father-in-law is a principal architect at a very prestigious firm in town. They met with some Blazer reps last week about this project. Don't know any details though.
Last I looked the "Study" for that project had been going on for 14 years. I could have came up with a plan in about a month. It might have ruffled some feathers, but if you are going to do something, you are going to ruffle some feathers. It goes with the territory.
They should have widened it when they built the RG. Isn't there some Obama money available to fix this problem?
Remove the Memorial Coliseum and put in a Major League Basekball/Pro football stadium in in its place.
