Even if you aren't a soccer fan, you've got to relish the opportunity to smackdown our neighbors to the south at their own game. Plus the 5-0 pasting that they laid on the American side recently should ratchet up the intensity.
it should be pointed out that the 5-0 loss was in a game where neither country brought their best team. mexico did bring the much better team to that game though with 12 players from the 5-0 game being called in for the game against the US(with probably 5 but as many as 8 potential starters from players who started in that game) while the US is only bringing 3 players from that team and all 3 are unlikely to actually see the field. of course the US has never won in mexico city, so it's going to be a very tough game.
Oh yeah thanks for the reminder Chris!!! I'm just hoping for a great match. Being of both nationalities and not really a patriotic person. What time does it start again?
where is the game being played? If it's anywhere in the US, I suspect the airplane back to Mexico will have a few empty seats.
Game is in Mexico city. Don't think we've EVER won there. I don't see the game in the tv programing. Anyone know what channel it's on?
according to Dish Network they are offering a free preview tomorrow of Mun2 the channel the game is on. on Dish Network that is channel 838.
I think that all providers that offer Mun 2 are going to have a 24 hr preview of the channel. You'll just have to to check what that channel normally would be, if you had the right package. Alternatively, if you don't have cable or only have basic (I think its normally on channels in the upper hundreds), you can watch on Telemundo, which I believe is an over the air channel. Now if I could only figure out when this preview starts. I can't set my dvr until I have access to the channel.
The only problem with that bet is that Felipe Calderón is just as likely to build a wall around the Presidential Palace.
