Guys like Sam Cassell, Aaron McKie, and Eric Snow have turned to coaching after their playing careers. Does anyone think Fish would be a good fit on the coaching staff one day? He could join Brian Shaw on the bench. Fish has always been a good locker room guy, and a great leader. His contract runs out after the season, and he'll be 35. Anyone think he'll be one of the assistant coaches for us a year from now? I can see it happening...

I think Fisher has more ambitious goals like becoming a future GM or other executive role for a franchise. He's the current president of the NBA Player's Union.

I think Fischer has the potential to be a future GM, coach, NBA executive and probably a very good one at any of this positions.

I guarantee that Fisher will be involved in the NBA when his playing days are over.

He's good enough to be a coach, or as some guys said GM in the league.

Fisher might coach a few years, but like Shape said, I think he has his eyes set higher.

Hopefully he stays with LA then. He's a good guy, wouldn't mind giving him a job in the front office.

I think he'll start off in coaching and see what goes from there. He's got a pretty good basketball mind and at the least, he can't be as bad as MJ.

Most of the time the GM makes more. In the Lakers case though I think PJax earns a higher salary.

Phil gets paid 12 million a year, if I remember correctly. That's what LO earned last year, and what Drew will be earning next year. I dunno if they pay Mitch even half of that.

Haha, yeah I know. But if he continues on coaching a winner, it's worth it.

Isn't Fish a big guy in the Players Union? He may become Union head so he is unlikely to work for mgnt.

Yeah he's the President of the Union already. I think they only get to serve two years max though under the position.
