I know that Bonds got tied up in this steroid conspiracy and after reading an article in an SI Magazine. I strongly feel that he did take steroids. But before you say no, look at this. According to that magazine, Bonds started taking steroids in 1999. Look at his numbers before that. Bonds had hit 409 HR's before that year. I still believe he would have made the 500 club anyway. He had an average of 31 which is verys olid. He had a ba average of 289 which is very good considering it was at .253. He had 1216 RBI's before he doped. Which is an average of 93. He had 2066 hits before he doped. He probably would have 600 HR's, 1800 RBI's, 2600 hits which are HOF numbers if he never dosed. And you can tell that his game was starting to pick up even before he took steroids. But then again, the steroid usage will really hurt his chances. What are your views on this?
No.Steriods dont make a player have a great swing, to hit the ball even close to out of the park you need to have a great swing. But he blaitantly cheated, and cheating is unfair to all the other thousands of guys in the majors, and minors, and even college/HS that work there asses off to be the best they can be.
Did you read my post? He still had great numbers when he didn't dope and he probably would have gotten very good numbers even without doping. If this never happened and he never took steroids he would be in the Hall.
Guys, there is no TOTAL proof he did that <Censored>. Remember, when the MLB tests for substance abuse policies, they can't directly tell you if they took this drug or this drug, they test for stuff like testosterone, which can probably even be found in non-drug materials. Also, think about this:It doesn't matter how tough you are, hitting a 90 MPH fastball must be the hardest thing in the world.
I've hit it before..Its hard, but you need the batspeed and the strength to get around on it.We all know he did it, stop supporting the <Censored> bastard
If you read the article on SI you would know. His girl friend said he toked, so did the steroid provider, his trainer, his tammates, other players. It's quite obvious. How do you explain him gaining 17 pounds, growing an inch, his head getting bigger and him hitting 36 HR to 46 to 73 when he was out of his prime.
Has anyone heard his voice? It sounds the same as it did 15 years ago. If he was truly getting stronger his voice would've gotten deeper.
Im saying he was a little guy 15 years ago, with a litle voice..Now hes a bulky big headed guy with a girly voice..his voice would get more matured if his body got more matured, and bulkier naturally. but he used steriods so his voice stayd the same..
So??? When people turn into adults, their voices rarely change regardless. They usually dont change until their later years. Back on point. Read the facts dude. The guy took 'roids.

DO all those Olympic runners have big voices?</div>It does affect your voice. Not all of the time, but look at Mike Tyson. He's got one of the highest voices I've heard for a 35+ year old person. Barry took them, it's already public knowledge.Barry should make the hof though. He is a great baseball player none the less, and deserves to be in the hall.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (kingjamez @ Apr 13 2006, 12:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Why should cheaters get rewarded for cheating?I would love to know..</div>Let's look at it this way. Snoop Dog, Dave Matthews Band, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and countless - and I mean countless - other entertainers smoke pot (and use other illegal drugs) when they write and perform their songs. I think the effects of these drugs do help them make them what they are.Since these drugs are illegal and enhancing for what they do, should we take away all their Gold, Platinum records and other music awards?Yes Bonds should be in the HOF, just like McGuire will be and Sammy Sosa will be.
