http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4400517 Well, that sucks. I wanted this guy to fortify our front line.
breaking news 4 hours ago! A HUGE KP FAIL! BECAUSE GOD KNOWS WE DON'T NEED A BACKUP POWER FORWARD! but we have culture
Who does that leave, Mikki Moore? Outlaw would be a better option... Heard Mark Blount might be bought out
from his perspective there is a much better opportunity to play with the Hawks... heck he might start. While the Blazers are a better team, not only would it be a much more limited role he'd stand a real chance of racking up some DNP-CDs STOMP
Call me an optimist, but I'm guessing KP is going to try and trade some of our extraneous pieces by the trade deadline for a tougher backup power forward than Travis; teams that are out of contention and looking to cut some payroll might find Travis' cheap expiring contract and/or some cheap rookie scale contracts in Cunningham, Bayless, or Pendergraph appealing, especially with a contracting salary cap by June 30th ... yeah I know, expecting KP to part with any of "his guys" in a trade probably is a bit of wishful thinking, but as they say, hope springs eternal.
Following a dismal playoff performance the scapegoating crowd has Travis's head on the block, but I'm guessing he'll be averaging 25 MPG or so next season. Besides Roy's minutes sliding over to the 3, he remains the best option on the club off the bench at the 3 or 4. He spreads the court on offense and gives the 2nd unit a 'Go' option. His D is nothing great but neither is anyone else's off the bench. STOMP
Yeah, that does kind of suck. However, I was becoming luke warm on him. I guess some of you guys did a nice job of persuading me out of the Smith thinking. Alright, put your resources towards Turiaf KP.
