haha you made me smile congrats. the bills belong to buffalo and always will. Toronto can have 1 game, its a money grab. There's no experience in the world like going to a bills game in buffalo. nfl>nba

The American League west is short a team, so I'd guess they'd probably throw a Portland team in that division. Not holding my breathe on getting a team anytime soon though. Maybe 10 years down the road.

If I may paraphrase you from multiple other threads in a more coherent manner, "Everyone is entitled to their opinion."

Since Seattle already has an American league team, I would guess MLB would prefer it be National league, but I think it depends on what team would move to Portland. I think if the A's moved they would keep them American, and if Florida moves they would keep them National.

Agreed, a lot depends on which team would move. I think MLB would look to avoid a large scale realignment, so if, say, the Marlins moved out here, I think Pittsburgh would move to the NL East, and Portland would be in the NL West. If it was Oakland, then no changes would be necessary for divisional moves. If it was someone like TB, I think they would just move to the West, adn the East would be 4 teams.

Portland won't get a major league baseball team in our lifetime, if ever. We blew it with the Expos, and that was our last, best chance.

I agree with your first sentence, but I don't think we truly ever had a chance with the Expos. We were a pawn in that exercise.

Not enough corporate support in Portland to ever make the numbers pencil out for Major League Baseball in this town.
