Because he is as dumb as a doorknob. The guy has a serious attitude and ego problem. He plays well, and then when something bad happens, he pouts and acts like a crybaby. When he got hurt, and Hunter replaced him, Dalembert expected to get his starting spot back when he was healed, but Cheeks didn't give it back to him (rightfully so) because Hunter was playing great. From then on Dalembert just stopped trying.The guy shouldn't even have gotten the contract he got. Billy King gave him that contract solely on his play against Detroit in the playoffs, and although he played great, he didn't play like that consistently. I'm semi-happy with Dalembert's play this year. When he's on, he's great for us, but he needs to do that consistently.Part of the problem is his low basketball IQ, and that he is not using his head... rather he's playing solely on his raw athleticism. I'm hoping Moses Malone will work with him in the offseason and help him get his act together, otherwise he might find himself being traded out of Philly next year.
How can you just loose your starting spot like that and not seem to care. He has poor work ethic, which is sad because he has shown so much potential.
The Sixers are kind of a mess right now, C-Web is slowly fading fast, they have a bunch of random young guys, some who are good and some who just plain suck (Shavlak Randolph), + does AI even care about this team? I think he's satisfied with coming and scoring 40 a night
I hate this guy, and he has soo much potential too. This guy is lazy and just brings a bad attitude to the team. Unless he changes peronality-wise, i think we should trade him.

His only problem is he does not play good D. But what else can he do if there is no D guys on the team except for Iguodala? No one player can win a title it's a team sport. KG is a great player also does not have a title why? Because the other guys around him were never good enough to win a title just like there were no good enough guys around AI to win a title. Well KG had a few years were he ran into the Lakers they were a dynasty hard to beat.Sammy if he just get's consistant, and works at it and stops being lazy he can burst out. Then he can be worth the contract. I mean if your not doing good don't put your head down work harder. You lost your spot to Hunter? Well that should make you wanna work harder to get better so you can get that starting spot back. Don't just say ow well if he does not wanna start me then w/e. Sammy just needs to go, and work with the top big guys out there this of season. Try hard, and learn as much as you can from them let them help you don't be stubborn. Then you can come next season, and show that your worth that big contract you got.
