    - Fulham centre-back Brede Hangeland has played down suggestions he set to join Arsenal.
    - Barcelona are weighing up an increased offer for Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas and would like to sign the Spaniard before the Gunners' Champions League match at Celtic on Tuesday to avoid him being cup-tied for the European competition.
    - West Ham and Fulham are set to battle it out for Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh after Arsenal called off their chase for the highly rated Moroccan.
    - Barcelona midfielder Alexander Hleb, who has recently joined German side Stuttgart on a season-long loan, admits he made a mistake in leaving Arsenal last summer.
    - Arsenal striker Nicolas Bendtner hopes that a change of squad number from 26 to his lucky number 52 will improve his fortunes in front of goal.
    - However, Bendtner's decision to change number has not got off to the best start as he faces a £10,000 bill from Arsenal after offering to reimburse fans who bought replica shirts bearing his old number.

    - West Ham have had a bid for Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh rejected by the French club.
    - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is famed for his classic "I didn't see it" phrase when it comes to questions about his players committing fouls but the Frenchman says he has sometimes lied to protect his players.

    - Arsenal are set to spend £6m on Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart.
    - Fulham have offered their defender Brede Hangeland wages of £50,000 a week to try to prevent him leaving - with Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Everton and Aston Villa all waiting to pounce.
    - But the Gunners are closing in on a £12m deal for Hangeland, with Fulham eyeing up Hull's Michael Turner or Newcastle's Steven Taylor as a replacement.
    - Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas is likely to sign for Barcelona next summer when the Spanish giants hold elections for a new president.
    - Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola has ruled out signing Fabregas this season, saying the Spanish international will spend another year with the Gunners.
    - Manchester City new-boy Kolo Toure impressed manager Mark Hughes by insisting on training at 2000 BST on the night he signed from Arsenal. the defender said he did not want to miss two training days in succession.

    Random Blog says Arsenal is interested in American prospect Luis Gil. SoccerByIves reported that Gil was on trial back in May.

    I know nothing of Gil and there hasn't been a profile on SoccerNet about him yet, as there was for Charles Renken, Arsenal's other American target.

    I also have to scoff at the notion that Anton Peterlin was a "high profile" signing, as just about no one in the States knew who that guy was and all of a sudden, he was with Everton.

    Have they given up on the Subotic idea as a second option, or was that just a logical thing to present as he is a tower, sort-of American but not really, center-back?

    - Everton are continuing to monitor Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos and are also interested in Middlesbrough centre-back Robert Huth.
    - Steve Bruce is considering a move for Arsenal centre half Philippe Senderos after Everton pulled out of the deal. The Sunderland manager watched Senderos, 24, in action for Switzerland against Italy on Wednesday.

    - Believed that Arsenal and Barcelona have signed a pact that bring Fabregas to the Nou Camp next season for 30m.
