Is there anything more boring? Watching the fight last night I felt like I was watching two drunkedn... two skilled drunken... girls just wrestle with each other. I had the thought in my head during the fight and literally right after I thoguht it Gina went for a kneebar (I think) and just ended up doing a complete somersault. I've never once been excited for a womens event. I guess the striking is alright but the clinching is horrible. Anytime there is a clinch they look like they throw all technical skill out of the way and just push and shove. I might be all alone on this one.
It's usually not exciting, but with Carano and Cyborg last night, I thought the fight was really awesome, and a shitload of fun to watch. Most matchups aside from the blockbusters should be boring though (pretty much everything aside from Gina and Cyborg going at it).
Carano is just hot. Women's MMA is horrible, though. I agree, they looked like drunken fighters. And yeah, she did a fucking summersault.
In general they are pretty far behind the men in terms of technical ability but I find most of the fights EliteXC and Strikeforce has put on have been good.
