Re: Bryant doesn't deserve mvp http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=82272Lamar Odom had his first triple double as a Laker on Tuesday, putting up 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. It begs the question of all those Kobe fans out there who argue that Bryant deserves the MVP because he has "no help" on the team, because he's "singlehandedly" willed the Lakers to the playoffs: Doesn't this count as help? I would say so. Thanks in large part to Odom's 10 dimes, Smush Parker scored 18 points and Kwame Brown scored 15 to go with 15 rebounds. :HAHAHA: The best argument against Kobe's candidacy? He's playing the second most minutes per game of his career, but he's averaging his fewest assists (4.6) since the 1998-99 season. On a per-minute basis, one could argue that he's involving his teammates less than ever before. And with Kobe, that's really saying something. . . .Seems someone has forgotten that phil wants kobe to score, not to iniate. But still, if kobe decided to start passing, he would be uncoachable again because he would be going against phil This is why Kobe bryant will never win mvp untill he drops 40ppg and leads the lakers to 50 wins. There's too many idiots out there.edit: Like atleast he should bring something valid up, but that was utter <Censored>.
Re: Bryant doesn't deserve mvp If his team was better than Kobe would be the MVP. Unfortunately for Kobe the Lakers are in the 7th or 8th spot so that is not good enough for an MVP.
Re: Bryant doesn't deserve mvp I think Dirk has got the MVP. Better team with alot more talent on the team. And, carry is mainly the only player on the Lakers.
Re: Bryant doesn't deserve mvp ^ I disagree. We all knew the Lakers would struggle to make the playoffs, and Kobe is the one that has gotten them this far. Kobe is the MVP this year. One triple double from Odom doesn't change the fact that all year he has had little help from the supporting cast.

Re: Bryant doesn't deserve mvp I completley agree with that 100%, Kobe has a "slow" game when he scores 30 points  Kobe is doing things like that every night, Lamar Odom has one good game and Kobe doesnt need to carry them...I don't think so :thumbdn1:
Re: Bryant doesn't deserve mvp Yeah the reasoning is foolish... a few good games is help?So then if we use that against Nash, remember when he had 0 points? He had tons of help. So shouldnt that make him not deserve MVP?Come on..................
