Chingy is making new banners for each of the forums throughout this site, and it's provided the opportunity to change outdated slogans. While that's happening, I figured we might as well evaluate our own slogan. Right now it's "Back from extinction" which was put in place after that '06 season when we returned to the playoffs after 5 years. Vote in the poll, if you'd like to change it. And if you vote "Yes," provide some alternative ideas that we can all choose from.
How about something along the lines of the only multicultural team in the nba Or a roller coaster of a team?
how about "The smart ones that can talk to each other from Jurassic Park 3" i feel this works on a couple levels on one level it represents the direction the team is going, Euroball is more about team work, sharing the ball, etc, etc. and on another level it works because this is gonna be a mediocre team, and those smart talking raptors weren't even close to be as scary as the hungry and ferocious ones from JP1 when they were chasing the kids through that museum.
I like this one, but I think chingy's hoping for something shorter than that. If you could condense it a little, that'd be awesome. Check the new banner on top of our forum right now. The slogan will be just under the team name, and there's a limited amount of space with that font size and format. A Jurassic Park reference would be cool though. "They can open doors!" "Shoot her! SHOOOT HERRRR!"
I have dreams of the raptors downplaying the fact they are named after a dinosaur turned popular by a movie and slowly referring to themselves as the Huskies
10+ years in, I think we've missed the opportunity to be considered as a serious franchise with historical tradition. We've just followed the trends and made an ass out of ourselves too often. I've found the best approach is to embrace the pathetic hilarity of the Toronto Raptors.
