Have to figure we don't want any more big men. Is there a 3- or 4-year contract player out there at SG/SF with relatively little value we could flip for Banks?
Candidates? Vladimir Radmanovic (CHA) -- 2 years, $13.35-million -- way overpaid and Charlotte doesn't need him; would need to balance the trade by including small-contract player (O'Bryant?); Greg Buckner (DAL) -- 2 years, $8.25-million -- doesn't play much, getting on in years; Charlie Bell (MIL) -- 3 years, $11.87-million -- go-nowhere Milwaukee cuts a year's worth of salary with this trade; Bell was unhappy that Milwaukee matched the offer sheet he signed with Miami;
why settle for picks and cash when lebron might be available. banks, fillers for lebron= works for both sides
If James wants to win, he'll have to learn his place. Backing up Hedo is a good role for him until he can show improvement.
Yeah, I think you're right. People forget how young he is. He's still maturing as a player. No need to force him into heavy minutes yet. He's still has to prove he's ready for this level of competition. You don't just walk onto a team like the Raptors and expect to get minutes. Maybe in three-four years he can be a bigger part of the rotation.
I think with Jay Triano's coaching and guidance, he has the potential to be one of the best players in the league while on the Raptors. That really should be enough motivation for him to sign with us in 2010 for the minimum.
