    I'd love to have Porter with the Blazers. Either way, I'm glad he's a Portlander for now. Solid, solid man.

    But I guess if he returned to Portland and accepted a position within the blazers organization he really wouldn't be "focusing on family".

    Would he?

    Actually, I seem to recall that when he was a Blazer player, Terry mentioned an interest in a career in broadcasting after his playing days were over. I think he may have even studied that in college. Anyway, he'd be a huge improvement over Michael Holton.

    So we got Kersey back with the team, Duck was as well (RIP), Cliffy still lives in HIllsboro, now TP is back in town, taking somewhat of an ambassador role...now if only we could lure Clyde away from the dumb Rockets..fat chance :(
    I love that old team and they seemed to love it here as well.

    The problem for Porter is he has been set up to fail every time he has coached. Terry is not a bad coach. The problem is, that coaches coming in are almost always put in a bad situation, and in some situations, are only being hired so they can be the fall guy for the GM. The GM almost always gets to fire one or two coaches before they get the axe themself. That has been the situation wherever he has been. The fall guy for a bad GM who isn't willing to take the blame for the mix of talent out on the floor.

    Almost anyone would be an improvement over those two studio clowns. Porter has that lisp though, probably not best suited for broadcasting.

    With Nate only taking one year contracts, is it only a matter of time before the TP Coaching the Blazers rumors start.

    And if Nate leaves, there isn't a possible hire I would be more happy with then Porter.
