I don't know if any of you watch this show, but there is a guy named Robert who has to be 4-450lbs. He makes me look like a body builder. He was on last year and had an infection around his heart or something bad like that. This year he is on the show again, and they just had him on some weird bike contraption that sits 5-8 people (not sure) and they were forcing them to ride the thing up a hill. The vehicle had what looked like mini trailer tires for fucks sake. Now he is in the ER, they haven't shown what happens to him yet. I just wonder how dumb they have to be to make a morbidly obese man exert himself like that.
or maybe the fatass should have used his own brain and thought "Hey, this isnt a good idea" but yeah, both parties are dumb
Speaking for fatties, we think we can do anything. The lawyers and producers and millionaires involved with the show probably should have thought it through. The guy couldn't even go on most of the rewards on the show because he is too fat. They left it up in the air until next week, it sounds like maybe this will be the thing that gets him to take care of himself. If not, I feel bad for him.
Oh yeah, they do the same stuff on Biggest Loser. They get a bunch of blimps to run up hills and starve themselves at the same time. I don't care how many physicals they give them, it just isn't a good idea.
I would wager an avatar, all of these shows have contestants sign waivers, so their lawyers have already thought it through. I can't blaim the guy myself, it's hard to know your limits if you're not frequently testing yourself. "maybe this discomfort is normal?" he thinks of his chest pain.
I am not a lawyer, but I imagine you could find plenty of other lawyers that would challenge any waiver. A signature probably should be enough, but how far could they go? Not only does it not matter if you die doing the show, but we get to sell your organs too!!
Or you'd think that being fat his entire life would make him want to lose some weight. Fat people are disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Mouth breathers. Nasty.
I didn't know what to think when he came back. I don't know how long in real time he had been away from the show. I still wondered if that scare wasn't enough to overcome his addiction then something is seriously wrong. If they killed him by making him exert himself like that, he won't have a chance to slowly get healthy. If you watched the show, last week he wanted to fight another contestant. The other guy could have just messed with him until he had a stroke, he obviously doesn't know how bad of shape he is in. Sad.
