I love my PS3. It's no insult to XBOX, I just always played the playstation consoles. I like how the PS3 has free internet and online gaming, but then again I'm not really much of a online gamer. Whatever floats your boat. Maybe the way the controller feels matters to you? I don't like the xbox controllers. Thats just because I'm so used to the PS controllers.

I have a lot invested into 360 though and I'm a halo player at heart maybe I will get a PS3 as well for the free online play. Is it as good of online community gaming as xbox live you think?
I've only played one game on live, which was left 4 dead, and it had a lot of annoying kids which helped me in deciding i didn't need to pay 50 bucks a month for it. The free online for the ps3 is a big plus, and most people don't have mics, which i don't know if that would be a plus or a minus for you. I like the community more than live, but you will get knuckleheads on there just like live, but i think the user base on average is older.
As well as a misplaced sense of self worth by the looks of it. Woo hoo society says I'm good and now I must impose their will on others without thought or knowledge of circumstance. Depends on the game you are playing on the mics.. its good to have on the COD's and Halo's when playing Team based games. Plus I like the feature that you can mute the annoying kids.. I use that feature a lot lol. Just so you know though its not 50$ a month unless you mean including your internet bill. the 50$ gets you 12 months. I think I might look into the PS3 though for blue ray and its console only games.
Oh, i meant 50 for the year, i'd rather just buy a new game for that amount instead of a service that i can get for free, and if you like Halo i think you would enjoy Resistance and Killzone 2. Still, get 2k10 for the ps3!
Seriously, if you want to play online, save up some money and upgrade your PC. You will not regret it, especially if you're in to first-person shooters or RPGs. I do admit, consoles are much better for Madden and Fifa. People need to realize how much better online play is on the PC than any console. It seems like there is some sort of geeky stigma linked with gaming on the computer. I guess it is because of World of Warcraft and the fact that you need a bit of knowledge to make a custom-built rig but it really isn't that hard. With the computer you aren't restricted by a small controller and it gives you a full 360-view. With the controller is is almost as though you're struck on the rail of the analog stick and you can only rotate at a certain speed. If you get shot from behind on the PC you can almost instantly turn around. Additionally, you don't have to play any extra fees besides your internet bill (unless you're a WoW ***). Anyway, on topic, Sony have always released a "slim" version of their consoles and it always seems like another marketing ploy in my eyes. I would rather have an Xbox.

I'm tossing the idea around of getting one. I had a 40GB PS3 that I sold when I bought my Popcorn Hour, but with Modern Warfare 2 coming out soon it's got me pining for one. I also really like the media center capabilities of it. I like that I can stream or transfer the music from my PC directly to the PS3 and have that playing (with an aesthetically pleasing screensaver on the TV) when I have people over. Couple that with the Blu-Ray capability and it's tough to beat for $299.
No thanks on a girlfriend. I would rather play video games then have to deal with that shit. PS3 is bad ass, Blu Ray and all. Controllers suck though.
Good to hear wheels, cloudydays has a ps3 as well and i have him on my friends list and i'm sure he would add you as well. Another added benefit is the internet browser which i used to watch Blazer games on my hdtv last year from unscrupulous sites because Comcast is evil and decided i still can't watch the games.
Wow I wish I would have done that last year, I just went through a whole thing where I turned my PC into a DVR and got and HDMI-DVI Cable to my LCD, That would have made things a lot easier lol. Thats pretty sweet actually.
