    yes, shaq is clearly the better player, i mean just like huevon said, taking a team from a first seed to a first round exit is something special, not many players have accomplished that. gasol on the other hand has done nothing for this lakers team, his contribution in this, and last years finals was atrocious, giving the lakers no options inside the paint. he didnt step up at all, unlike shaq, who has been averaging career lows the past two seasons...the answer is so clear...

    Shaq in his prime might be the best big man the NBA has ever seen. He's long since his prime though, and Gasol is clearly a better player now.

    I don't see what all of you see in Gasol. He's overrated, soft. Fad-a-way jumpers 24/7. He's afraid to take contact and just doesn't show up when needed. Shaq does it all. 3's, free-throws, passes. GOAT!
