The NBA preseason rankings are out from Sports Illustrated and they have the Raptors ranked 10th in the Eastern Conference and 18th overall. Seems low to me. Although other teams in the East have also improved, unless there are injury problems, or chemistry issues with all the new guys learning to play together, I just don't see the Raptors missing the play-offs. Their high powered offense should win them enough regular season games to land 6 - 8 seed in the East. And this is the second such article that has the Wizards ranked WAY too high. BNM
^wished they couldve predicted us to be slotted lower. last time that happened we won the atlantic division.. im sure this could be good chalkboard material..
the thing that stood out for me is the complete disrespect of the nba champs- dont they get a courtesy number one ranking for winning a championship? and how does he not like the artest signing but seems to be alright with the shaq trade. in the last few years- shaq has gained more headlines for his off the court antics - u know stealing teammates reality show ideas than his actual play
What annoys me more than the ranking is the description. He doesn't say a single negative thing about the team, but thinks they'll be an abject failure this season. It's amazing how writers can get away with putting so little effort into a power ranking.
