    A little parenting tip: Make sure to take one of those mini-basketballs with a Lakers logo and bounce it off their face once a week. With diligence, in a few years the blind rage toward the purple and piss will be quite impressive.

    Just start with foam balls and work your way up to rubber--the head is quite spongy to start with.

    My wife is having our second child, a girl, sometime around Oct. 12. She will be flying to Portland to have her because she wants this one to be an "Oregonian." Our son is an "Arizonan." I did not know that it mattered so much.
