I see his point of view that he wants to win a ring. Hes super competitive, a former champ, hates losing, and probably expected a big move this offseason to make us more of a contender. I'm sure he was mad when the We Believe team was disassembled.

That being said its no surprise that we hear these complaints just a year after he got his big fat contract extension. Before that it was nothing but love for GS and the opportunity that they gave him and that he wanted to retire a Warrior, etc. etc.

He wants to go to the Cavs, a Texas team, or the Knicks. If we trade him, we better get some good young players.

Yeah, he should go to the Knicks so he can win a ring............................

But anyway, I think this is a godsend for GS. I've been wanting to see Jax go bye-bye for a long time now. Terrible leader-by-example, horrible shot selection, whiny with the ref and never running back on defense... I mean, who would want to play with that kind of player.

He should go to NY so he can jack up 30 shots a night and never run back on defense. Sounds like the local YMCA street baller. Should be perfect for him in NY.

Meanwhile, I want players who want to play hard and play for each other to win as a team (aka not SJax).

Hopefully, Jax takes his cronie-pal Magette with him so they can go start a dynasty in NY. That would make one of my dreams come true! (oh, and take D. George with you for veteran leadership...)

I feel betrayed only in that I was naive to think he wanted to be here. This is why you never pay when you don't have to. You can't get anyone to say or do what you want once they get paid.

I would agree with AO that this is a godsend only if we didn't pay him. Who the hell is going to want that contract? We're going to have to bend over and hold our ankles to ship him out of here.

Larry Riley should lock up Devon George to a 5-year, 50 mils contract just to show fans he's not taking it lying down.

Nice job Rowell. Very nice job. So... Tell me why did you give Jackson that fat contract again? Good luck finding a value for his new 4 years remaining contract. And, if Jackson really wants to leave, tell him to void his new extension. Wow. I thought it would happen sooner or later, but I didn't expect him to turn around this fast. Maybe he wants a shoes deal like Harrington...

Wow this franchise is such a joke... You can't even build upon Stephen Jackson. He's a great complimentary player, but we need a franchise star, somebody that shoots, passes, dribbles, plays D, and can lead. Know anyone on the Warriors like that? If Jackson was that, we are a really screwed Franchise.

Kwan's thoughts were my thoughts exactly, if he didn't want to stay, he shouldn't have taken the money. If he had not signed the extension, he would have been a free agent or at least very easy to move, he can't even honor his own commitments. Of course, reports were that he didn't ask for the extension so you could blame Rowell. In all, very demoralizing news.

I think he wants to go to NY to market his sneaker with Al Harrington. It's doubtful, anyway, that the Knicks will take him with that huge contract of his.

Yeah, I think this whole thing came up because of Harrington's shoes deal. Jackson probably thought "Wait, I am far better than Harrington, but he is getting a shoes deal? Man, I gotta get out of here". Sure, he can say he wants to play for a championship team and so, but we just had ONE losing season, and even for any selfish athlete standard, it's just too early.

This thing sucks for pretty much anybody. For Rowell, it's funny how the Karma works. He just took over as an "unofficial" GM of Warriors last year, and he wanted to get a support from the best player, Jackson. So, he gave that absolutely unresonable contract to Jackson. Even though Jackson had two years left, and once most athlete's are getting paid, they just aren't the same, Rowell went ahead and secured Jackson financially, thinking Jackson would somehow be different than most athletes. Well, guess what. He is backstabbing you even before his new extension kicks in. For Jackson, wow... This quick? Dude, you didn't even spend enough time to say that you want to get out of here because of losing. At least try to pretend that you give you know what for losing. NY? Have you seen their roster? And, you do realize that Harrington will be gone after this season, right? For Randolph, this is a devestrating news. He improved not only as a basketball player but also as a professional last year, showing much better attitude in 2nd half. But, he still needs to be in a good environment to learn about professionalism, and this whole Jackson thing can only be a toxic for his development. I only hope Warriors cut the loss as soon as possible, so that this thing doesn't drag out. And for die hard Warriors fans including myself... Are we officially M yet?

That's absurd. There's an equal amount of sneaker heads in the Bay Area and with the internet you can market around the world.

Who's to say the Knicks even re-sign Al Harrington after this season either. I doubt he's part of the rebuilding NY wants to undertake.

Fine, Maggete + Jax for TMac then, let's clean house. I agree he should be moved quickly before this poisons the locker room. We definitely don't need that attitude around here now and quite frankly I think we can find others to play his 40 minutes. I just wish he had said this earlier while people were still dealing.

I'm disappointed in Jackson, but yeah, Rowell is the real culprit here.

I wouldn't mind that deal but I don't think Houston is in the market for two more SFs with Battier and Ariza already there. How about Jack for Big Z? I'm really not concerned about sending Jack to one of the spots he wants to go to though it would make sense that a team who takes him is one that is a contender and is willing to take on the big money contract. Big Z is expendable in Cleveland with Shaq there and hes an 11 mil expiring deal. Jack seems like a good fit there with his championship experience, defense, tenacity, passing, etc. Warriors have little use for Big Z but I'd go for it none the less just for the expiring contract. I'm sure Nellie would give Big Z some decent burn because hes got a sweet jumpshot.

Cleveland would have a hell of a squad with Mo Williams, Jack, LeBron, Varejao, Shaq with Delonte West, Boobie Gibson, Anthony Parker, Jamario Moon, Leon Powe, and JJ Hickson off the bench.
