I was impressed with the improvement in Aaron Rodgers in the preseason game against the Cardinals. He didn't have the happy feet and went through his progressions to find open spots the defense was giving him and taking advantage. He also went after Rodgers-Cromartie hooking up with Finley and Jones on some nice timing patterns. He finished 14-19 for 258 yards and 3 TDs. With a QB rating of 155. To top it off he had a nice 34 yard scramble.
Don't remind me. Maybe it would have worked out better if Smith didn't have all the injuries early on and if the 49ers actually ran an offensive system he thrived in at college. I'm not sure why any team would draft a franchise QB without having a solid offensive line in place. The 49ers spend a high pick and millions to get Smith, but never built an O-line capable of protecting him.
Packers Coach, McCarthy took Alex Smith when he was a 49er. He got his second chance now. Go Rodgers.
