Travis/Blake and Bayless for him? Four guard rotation of Roy-Ellis-Rudy-Miller. SF wants expirings and they get ones that can play plus Bayless.

Well, it's sure tempting to want a guy who is super clutch, a guy who shot 60% for an entire month in his last pre-injury season. But how would he fit in with the Blazers? He is basically another small shooting guard, obviously we are already loaded at shooting guard; we seem to have a lot bigger needs. And if you trade for him you are stuck with him for several years at a high salary. And why would the Warriors trade a guy who was once thought of as the future of the franchise?

based on talent, sure. I doubt they'd want to cut ties with Ellis thought.... limited as he was, they did have a winning record with him last year.
    they do?

Anyone rational gets Ellis (top 10 athlete, still young and would fit in well with Roy) with that grade... but we'd need to give up a lot more than just TO and Blake.

I would give up anyone outside of Roy LMA and Oden and that still shouldn't* be enough to pry him away. Monte is a top 10 Guard in the NBA

if Portland still holds the rights to Federico Kammerichs, maybe the Magic would be interested? They could stash him overseas and keep him off their books.

You guys with the sarcastic comments are really a piece of work. I "suggest" the trade possibility based on an article in Hoopshype yesterday that GS "might" be trying to move Ellis for cap reduction and that Nellie has "fallen in love" with Curry. Ellis has some questions about how fully recovered he is from his bad ankle injury and we all know when teams decide to dump salary or a player it becomes "more possible" a deal could happen. It's unlikely they will deal him but certainly worth a decent discussion thread IMO.
Is Monta that much more valuable than Daivd Lee who we are discussing as well for the same package or less?
Instead of ripping me for what I think is not horrible value for Ellis IF and I stress IF GS wants to dump him, other suggestions might actually make it a worthwhile discussion.
Perhaps tell me of another team that would offer the expiring contracts GS may want and players that can actually contribute to GS?

What I find is interesting is Don Nelson is still the coach of Golden State when pretty much every talented player on that roster says they want to leave because of him.

He would add another 15-20 points a game to this team. He has that kind of explosion. How would he fit? A lot of posters compare Jerryd Bayless to him in the way he plays. I guess whatever vision you might have had for Jerryd. Replace him with Monta.
