This article lists Mike Brown as it's 4th best coach, so it really has no credibility. I guess the article would put PJ as a great coach then since he made it to the playoffs too with a talented roster? And Mike Shuler? And Mo Cheeks?
Average of +10 wins. Every year. For the last 4 years. 21. 32. 51. 54. McMillan has flaws, but the grass isn't always greener.
Here is my list: 1- Pop 2- Jackson 3- SVG 4- Adelman 5- Larry Brown 6- Sloan 7- Carlisle 8- Rivers 9- Nate 10- Karl
Yes, but that wasn't all Nate. In fact I would say it's more KP than Nate pretty easily. If Nate somehow get's us a ring then fine, but I doubt this team will improve much from this point on under him.
So what are you saying? The 2009 NBA coach of the year should be listed higher? or Not listed at all? Seems pretty credible to me.
I wish I could find the Motivator that expresses MM's feelings on the subject. It went something like this: COACH OF THE YEAR STEP 1: HAVE LEBRON ON YOUR TEAM. STEP 2: WEAR A SUIT
Yeah if it was last year then Sam should be considered. You guys want to take Phil off the list too because he always had Kobe or Michael? In all reality I do not know if Mike Brown is a good coach. What I do know is that none of you guys know either.
This is exactly my thinking. The Cavs were thinking of replacing him for God's sakes this offseason. Everyone screams about how great Nate is, but would he even still have a job if KP had selected and kept A_am Morrison and Tyrus Thomas? No, Portland would be a horrible team. Likewise with Oden over Durrant. If we had taken Durrant, right now Nate would look like a better coach, but in reality it would just be that right now, Durrant is a better player than Greg.
Because none of us are at their practice or in their huddle. How the hell could we know? Judging coaches is much tougher than judging players. We can at least see how a player performs. But when we judge a coach many of us base it on their substitution pattern and the last minute of a game. Both important, but still a very small part of what they do.
