Crabby Beaver fans who can't understand why a nationally televised game between the #14 and #16 ranked teams in the country is getting more exposure than their non-sold-out home game against a sub-Division 1 team.

Boise State is tough at home... that is for sure... and being that they only really need to win one tough game per year and then they can coast through the rest of the season...

I think their late hits last year may come back to haunt them. Ducks will be ready. Should be a great game. Ducks either roll or lose a close one. I say they roll.

well ESPN is trumpeting that BSU won't have to worry about senior Duck wideout Rory Cavaille... can't say I've ever noticed the guy on the field before.

I don't know if it's the same sort of thing or not.

He is a former walk on who earned a scholarship this year. Basically was going to be in the two deep as a slot receiver, but because of Oregon's depth it won't be a huge factor. BSU's lack of depth on the D-line is going to have a major impact on the game since Oregon ran all over them last year and I think the running game is going to be just as good if not better because of Masoli.

Don't forget about LaMichael James. I really think this kid is gonna be special. Was all over the "best of Texas" lists his junior and senior years in high school and was a standout on the scout team at Oregon during his redshirt year last year. He'll be a nice change of pace from Blount's physical style.

I CANNOT WAIT for this game.

I'm pretty excited to see the Duckies myself... I predict lots of back in forth pacing and a big knot in the stomach for me :)

Lol. Fair enough. But I have to say that the talk about how the uniforms will look against the blue turf is pretty funny. I'm pretty sure I'd think that no matter what the team, but maybe I'm just too biased to ever see the light of day.

I pick the Smurf Turf to always win over the ducks. My buddy--who's a BSU alum--told me that at least a few times a year they have to clean up dead ducks because they dive bombed the field thinking it was a pond.

In terms of football, however, I have to go with U of O.

Damn it. If it's that common, I want video. Put a danged camera on the field 24/7 until they can give me a video. Are they afraid a video will fire up PETA so that PETA launches an assault against the smurf turf?

lol yes, if PETA gets involved.. then NCAA will have to make them change to green field, they are already lucky to have blue turf because of their "grandfather clause"

That would be almost better than those damn Onion rolls that Williams Bakery would bake next to my dorm at U of O. OMG that would stink.
