Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink signs for Hull

Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink was out of contract at Celtic and joined Hull City on a two year deal.

I'm not sure what this does for Jozy Altidore, but it doesn't look like a big positive for him. This is a shame for Jozy has he has been terrific thus far with Hull with a goal and an assist in two appearances. But Jan is a target striker and that could be a big help for Hull up top.

 

Nevertheless, this is a very solid signing.

 

But I don't care about the fortunes of Hull, so this is not a solid signing. Jozy needs to keep playing.

 

Me either, but Vennegoor is a great player for a team like Hull.
