LOL I will sure, but remember you cant use them for hot, already prepared food actually the Utah game is just 2 days later than the Meet n Greet. hopefully a good sports weekend.
A) That still doesn't justified getting punched. B) If you'll notice, even before Blount touches him Hout's coach is in his face telling him to stop acting like an idiot. C) Blount also punches his teammate. D) Blount goes after a fan. E) Blount tries to rip through 4 or 5 people holding him back including an assistant coach, his teammates, and security. Hout may not be innocent but his idiocy hardly called for being punched and Blount just went off the deep end after that. I just consider his punch the start, not the end.
One additional thing. Perhaps if Blount hadn't talked about the "butt whupping" before the game he wouldn't have gotten it thrown back in his face. You talk the smack, be prepared to accept the smack after the game. It's certainly by no means "poor Blount".
Papa didnt say it was justified. and yes Blount should have kept his cool, if he says he got hit by a fan, and one lifted a chair, then I could see a 21 year old losing his cool. Not condoning it in the least bit, but I cant say I would have reacted much different at 21 in the heat of the moment. The difference between me at 21 and 23 even is a WORLD of a difference. But once again, its his job to keep his cool, not some drunken idiot fans.
Grabbing a player and spinning him around? You can't be serious? That's a ridiculous exaggeration of the weak pat that Hout did to his shoulder pads. Was Hout a well behaved and respectable player in the situation? No. He was talking shit to Blount as they crossed eachother. And the touch to the shoulder pad clearly looked to me like him giving him a little shove as if to say where was that ass whooping you said was coming. Blount undoubtedly punched him in the mouth, backed away acting hard saying it's right there. Then tried to beat up some teammtes, cops, and fans.
Yes, I posted this same thing. Also, walk down the street, spin somebody around who is minding their own business, and then yell at them. If they punch you, try not to act like a victim. Now Hout's brother is sending emails to Colin Cowherd defending his brother.
being on the street to someone minding their own business and what happened at the end of a chippy football games are two different things. That's an awful comparison.
So you admit that Hout intiated physical contact, and was unprovoked in doing so. Do that on the street while being videotaped. See what happens if you cry about being punched after committing physical assault. And yes, it is physical assault to grab somebody, touch them, or do anything to them if they don't allow you to touch them.
So it's OK to make unwanted physical contact after a football game, but not on the street? If that's the case, it sounds like you are trying to justify Blount's reaction to being assaulted.
It was at least a standing 8 count. A one-punch knockdown to a guy who just accosted you and was yelling at you. Not a bad response. Probably worth a lengthy suspension, but certainly not "unprovoked", as I keep reading.
Here's a interesting story I wrote about Blount yesterday: http://www.duckfans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4 Pretty unique!
As an Oregon fan, if the conference or the NCAA would have suspended Blount one or two games for the punch to Hout, I would have been fine with it and cautiously welcomed Blount back to the team against Utah or Cal. Instead, he had to go around like a mouth-foaming neanderthal bent on destroying anything that got in his way. Fuck, man, I can understand the heat-of-the-moment thing on that one Boise State player, but when your coaching staff and security are grabbing you and telling you to calm down, that should be the end of it. I'm not sure I can think of a situation where I'd willingly accept Blount back on the team. I've never seen anything like that. It was a pretty low moment for the program.
